Peaceful Retreat for Non-Driver

I needed a quiet place to work on writing projects, and yet commute to my job without driving. Hillsdale is a charming small town with a historic train station less than a block away from the apartment. The apartment is walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, banks, library, and even the next-door town of Westwood (a thirty minute walk), which I walked to and from during the NJ Transit strike last May. The central air conditioning and the in-unit washer and dryer were great to have this summer, as was the awesome coffee table that converts to a desk, and the revolving dresser that has a full-length mirror on the back. The kitchen has everything except a dishwasher, which I didn't need. Al quickly responded to my questions via email and text, even letting me know when he would be out of town so I would know, but he was not intrusive. He invited me to see the place before I rented it. It's been a really nice stay.

Very comfortable apartment. Clean, sunny and close to Valley Hospital. The host Al does his best to make sure you have everything you need.

Home Away from Home

This property has absolutely everything I need! The apartment itself is clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The area is quiet, safe and close to so many businesses and the train station. And Al has been a great landlord. Hes been friendly and very responsive to any questions/concerns Ive had. Communication has been great and I feel like there is no kind of uncertainty with anything in regards to the rental agreement. I appreciate that hes been flexible when my assignment extended, and hes willing to work with me. Most importantly, the apartment AND Al are both pet-friendly. Al even helped me out at the last minute when my pet-care fell through. I definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic Stay!!!

My fianc and I stayed at this property for 4.5 months and couldnt have been happier with our stay! The place is fully furnished and stocked with anything you might need. The apartment is clean and in a very safe area! Youre walking distance to many shops and a small shopping center. A, our landlord, was always responsive and friendly! I highly recommend this apartment. It was a great stay!

Great Property and Landlord

This place was great for what my girlfriend and I needed in a pinch. The apartment is clean, updated, and has the homey feel to it. Appliances, kitchen, and floor looks to be all recently renovated and living room and bedroom are spacious with a good sized mounted living room TV. Conveniently located right next to the small downtown of Hillsdale with many options (both walking or driving) for food, shopping, etc. A was very communicative and easy going as well, allowed us to view the property before move in and was very transparent and easy to deal with. Highly recommend if you are in a month to month bind like my girlfriend and I were with the sudden move for work.

GREAT PLACE TO LIVE

I RELOCATED HERE FROM A VERY SMALL TOWN IN NC. I FOUND THIS TOWN AND ITS SURROUNDINGS TO BE SAFE AND WELCOMING. AL IS WONDERFUL AND ALWAYS KEEPS AN OPEN LINE OF COMMUNICATION. HE IS NEVER INTRUSIVE BUT AVAILABLE. THE APARTMENT IS NICE, COZY AND CLEAN. IF I AM EVER IN THE AREA AGAIN THIS WILL CERTAINLY BE THE PLACE I WILL CALL HOME.

Great place!

My husband and I had the opportunity to live in both apartments 1 & 2. The house itself is in a good, safe area. Its next to townsquare and theres lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance and also the police station is around the corner. Parking is not an issue as the driveway is big enough for 3 cars. The apartments are very clean and spacious and definitely look like the pictures. We like that there is central air and we never had an issue with the water. The running water turns hot almost instantly. The landlord, A, is friendly and quick to respond when we have a question or an issue. We would stay here again and we definitely recommend this location to future tenants!

Excellent and clean property and location. Quiet and safe neighborhood located next to many shops and tasty restaurants. Property owner A is great with communication and any helpful with any needs you may have. Looking forward to staying here again in the future if I return to the area for work.

A Great Place To Stay

This was a great find, located right in downtown Hillsdale, NJ we frequently walk to the grocery store or the multiple restaurants (especially the bagel shop right around the corner). This place is clearly newly renovated; the shower is one of the best we have had and we have never had a place with better hot water for both the sinks and shower. It's in a quiet little street near a nice neighborhood, there is a train nearby that can easily take you into NY city which is convenient. Al is a great landlord, he is very quick with his communication and is always checking in on us to make sure everything is okay but he is not intrusive at all. While there is no washer/dryer there is a great laundromat right down the street. There is ample parking in the nice driveway and street parking available if you were to need extra. We were able to find a Crossfit and gym within a couple miles (which we frequently bike too). We have run into no issues and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
