The Best Experience

The magical garden was absolutely incredible! Talk about true serenity – there were so many nooks and crannies to sit in beauty and nature and just recharge. The cottage itself is so cute – it has every single appliance you could possibly need – as someone that cooks a lot, but who also is on the go, I had every single thing that I needed, which was such a lifesaver! It’s so tidy and clean and Tamara is such a lovely host – she gave us all the privacy, but was so friendly and available when we needed her for something. The space itself is also in an extremely private area so we felt totally alone! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Sanctuary Days

Tamara is an amazing Super Host. She has designed a space that is both functional , comfortably, and tranquil. The lovely cottage looks over an amazing garden with natural vibrant colors, bird songs, and the breeze from the bamboo trees and the ocean near by. For whatever your reasons to stay at the Light and Zen Purple Door Cottage; you will find comfort, privacy, and a peaceful environment. As for me, I welcome the opportunity to return again and to experience more fully the comfortable atmosphere and warm hospitality.

Zen Purple Door Paradise

A must stay if you are lucky enough to find availability. There is a reason T's place is always booked. The garden is so beautiful and peaceful with various places to read a book or have your morning coffee. Inside you will find everything you need. The bathroom and kitchen have plenty of room and the bed is sooo comfortable. T was always responsive and so sweet. The location is great. It was about 2.5 miles to my job and very close to a great new to me coffee place. I would live in the purple cottage if I could. 100% recommend.

THIS IS A MUST STAY PROPERTY

I had the pleasure of staying here for three months during one of my graduate school rotations and it was the biggest blessing. I was worried about living alone and in an unfamiliar area, but T has created such a safe haven with her rental spaces and I could have not had a more positive living experience. The beach bungalow itself had everything you would need, including access to the serene backyard. I would spend hours in the backyard, with the wind blowing and the bird chirping, such a peaceful place to work or just relax. The neighborhood is very quiet, and all the neighbors are friendly with plenty of places to park. T is a very special individual; it would be worth renting this property just to have a few conversations with her. She is the most kind, thoughtful host. She would often leave me treats on my door step and was immediate to responding to my texts. You will be very well taken care of here :)) Thank you T for everything

Perfect location, beautiful yard and most importantly comfortable cottage!

My husband and I stayed at the purple cottage for a month and we absolutely adored it. The space was very clean and had everything we needed. The garden is possibly the best thing about the property, it's truly a wonderful and relaxing paradise. The host, T, is super sweet and accommodating, always there to help if need be. She has a very sweet dog that will be greatly missed! The house is in Fire Mountain area with shops (TJs, Vons etc) being a 10 minute drive. The ocean is right there with 10 minute drive. We also really enjoyed that you can't really hear the train or the I-5, which is amazing for Southern California. Perfect location, beautiful yard and most importantly comfortable cottage! Full privacy with fully accommodating hostess!

T is an exceptional host, making sure to check in with necessary communications. Accommodations are perfect, light and bright inside with full kitchen and new appliances. Great outdoor area with fire feature, gardens, and so many flowers and birds. Its a little slice of paradise. The place and host are beautiful inside and out.

The room itself is very cozy and has everything you will need. T is very nice and makes sure you have everything you need. Plus the chocolate on the pillow was a very nice welcome gift!

Loved it!

Wonderful T is a wonderful Host; ensuring every comfort is anticipated; and She is always available. The Cottage is perfect and so quaint. Kitchen is well appointed; and functions grest. Bathroom, same. Loved the circular shower. Bed... so comfy. Perched on a hill overlooking a peaceful valley with other homes, lots of trees. The Garden, abundant with tropical splendor. I loved sitting out on the deck, just recharging my spirit. Id stay here, again, for certain. HIGHLY RECOMMENDThank you, T fir a much needed and wonderful stay!!

Peaceful Home

T was very welcoming and helpful! She was prompt with responding to any questions and was always available if needed. The bungalow is very clean with up to date appliances. It was the perfect size for a temporary stay. The backyard was as beautiful as pictured and the perfect place to relax in the afternoon. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful temporary place

Tamara was wonderful and her place was very efficient, trendy, and lovely. Tamara was a great landlord. She was so kind, professional and flexible with our short term rental. She left us treats on the bed and one day even left us some strawberries...whattt!!? My wife and I were so thankful to have been able to stay here.

Cozy little home

I recently stayed here during my first travel assignment and it was a great first place to call home. I loved coming to a warm, cozy little home at night after a long day at work. Tamara was always so helpful with answering all my questions before I moved in and during my stay. She also provided more than I expected which was so kind! I would definitely recommend staying here. The view in the back is also breathtaking!

Beach Bungalow No Shoes Required

I lived on this property but in the unit called Beach Bungalow No Shoes Required for 3 months. The unit is perfect for long term stay. It comes with everything you would need. The garden is well maintained and peaceful. I loved waking up and sipping on my cup of coffee in the sunny breezy garden. The unit was 11 mins from Oceanside Beach and 20 mins from Palomer Escondido medical center. Parking was never an issue. I had an overall peaceful stay. I cant leave a review without mentioning the amazing Host! Tamaras hospitality was above and beyond. She had her own little creative touches to the unit. She was always quick to respond to any requests. She made me feel absolutely at home and I couldnt ask for more! And she gave me an amazing haircut! I would definitely come back if Im in the area!

"Nostalgic"

Tamara's place is serene!! The beautiful garden is only half of it. She welcomes you with chocolate and snacks inside the cottage. I especially like waking up to the sounds of the birds chirping outside where her beautiful flowers shaded the window above the bed. Tamara is sweet, thoughtful, and easygoing. Well......a wonderful host!! I enjoyed my stay and I thank you Tamara for sharing your place with me.

Peaceful and quiet place!

Really nice place, with all you need for a stay. the garden is beautiful and lots of nice areas to walk to or visit. Convenient to several hospitals and clinics!

I absolutely loved this Cozy Cottage

I stayed here for a 2 month travel nursing assignment and absolutely loved this cottage! It is so cute and cozy with everything you need including a fully equipped kitchen, easy off street parking, and a nice outdoor living space. It is a very clean, quiet, and peaceful space and I will miss my quiet coffee sessions in the garden patio before my long hectic days at work. Tamara was an amazing host and always went above and beyond to make me feel at home. It is less than a 10 minute drive to some amazing beaches, and close to I-5 for an easy commute to many nearby hospitals. I would definitely come stay again! This would also be a perfect option if you are traveling with a friend because there are two furnished rentals on the same property with plenty of awesome outdoor lounging space:)
