This is a wonderful place to stay! The location is perfect, and the landlady is incredibly kind and welcoming. The property is especially beautiful in the fall, and it feels festive and cozy during the holidays. The community is warm, friendly, and truly makes you feel at home. Its the kind of place that becomes a home away from home, and I couldnt recommend it more.

The best home away from home!

If you're lucky enough to get a room your experience will be nothing shy of amazing. From the people you'll meet to the family atmosphere of the charming New England house. The landlord is the best I've ever had and felt like a second mom. I worked nights and had no issues sleeping, there's plenty of parking, and the entire house is kept spotless. Having your own private bathroom is also amazing. The neighborhood is very safe, close to all the hospitals in New Haven and a quick 2hr train ride to New York. My stay was perfect and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the New Haven area!

Home away from home

I don't even know where to start. No words could really do justice to how much I LOVED staying here!! It truly was a home away from home in which I also met new family members! I will carry this experience and the people I met here with me forever. The house itself was immaculate and so warm and inviting. Susan went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome in her home. Getting to know her, her family, and the other travelers was the highlight of my assignment. It was a pleasure to get to meet Cathy when she came. I was lucky enough to be there for the gorgeous fall foliage and through the holidays. Never for one moment felt like I was far from home or family amidst my new family. My room was so bright and comfortable and having my own bathroom was key. The kitchen had everything you could need and was so fun to use. The only downside to my stay there was that it ended. I hope to get a contract in the area again in the future and be able to return to the house.

Unforgettable

My stay at this property has been exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. Each room was beautifully furnished, and having my own bathroom was an incredible luxury. I really appreciated the sense of security. I felt safe knowing that my car was secure and that the rooms had keys. The kitchen was a highlight for me open, clean, and stocked with every utensil and amenity imaginable. Now the location. A quiet neighborhood, close to everything youd want; shops, groceries, restaurants, close to hikes, fishing, kayaking, bike trails, etc I learned so much from S and C. Honestly I gained an invaluable insight into what I would want when I'm ready to buy a home of my own. My time here wasn't just about finding a place to stay; it was about discovering a second family in Connecticut, a bond I never expected but now cherish dearly. It's all those little touches that really made me feel at home. Thank you so much S and C!

Lucys place

Staying at Ls place was truly wonderful. The room was in a large, beautiful home that was filled with wonderful people. The owner, Susan, was amazing and so welcoming. You have access to the home kitchen,fridge,and you get your own shelf which is rather large. Everyone there is very respectful and privacy is no problem. Each room has its own private bathroom and some even have their own patio. The property was only 10 minutes away from yale hospital and has grocery stores/gyms/convenience stores minutes away. I am so glad I had the opportunity to stay here and I would 100% recommend it to anyone who needs a place to stay.

Must Book

I couldn't imagine how great this place would be, I started traveling on a whim and my first assignment was at Yale New Haven Hospital. I had very little knowledge about the area but lucked out on finding such a great home with amazing hosts. Branford is a quiet suburb less than 15 minutes outside the Downtown New Haven area, I was lucky to be surrounded by shops, great local food and nature. S is an amazing property manger! She made sure all of my needs were catered to and was always helpful in informing about the ins-and-outs. I loved my time here in Branford so much that I decided to apply full-time once my contract ended, I truly couldn't have found a better place if I tried!

Lovely Stay

I had the most amazing stay here with no exaggeration at all. This beautiful home is surrounded by quiet and beautiful nature. It was serene to wake up mornings sitting in the sun porch next to my room and hear the birds, smell the fresh air, and just be in the quiet calm nature that made me feel so safe. My biggest concern on going on my first assignment was safety. Sometimes Im very paranoid lol, so if youre like me, this is the place to book for sure because I felt so safe. I was assigned at Yale New Haven and staying in Branford was the best decision I made! It is so safe! Exploring Branford, I came to find that the people in the neighborhood in general are very friendly, kind, and happy people just like the hosts. This property I must say is CONVENIENTLY located in an area were Starbucks is like 3 min drive away and Walmart is like 5 min drive away. Nice cheap gas across from Starbucks. Not too far from supermarkets, food restaurants. I got my nails done at Nail Expressions which was not too far. I highly recommend. Planet fitness is like 7 minute drive and must I add that this planet fitness is the best Ive ever been to ever! So much space and equipment it was amazing!! Staples was nearby too. I was very grateful that the location feels nicely set in nature but a quick drive out gets you to the stores and shops and supermarkets. As a aforementioned. The neighborhood is so safe and I felt safe in this home. Its a very large home and each room has a bathroom so creates privacy. Its very clean and I felt very cozy here. Kitchen, dining, living room and washer dryer is shared by all. Its really like a home away from home, but more like a getaway nature home lol its a lot more peaceful than being in the nosy streets of New York. If you had any problems and issues, the hosts were very accommodating. The hosts are like family to me, very nice to talk to, and they were very understanding when my assignment got cancelled. The process of refunding was easy and simple and they were understanding. This was personal a hard blow for me being they were so understanding. They dont know how much that helped to soften the blow for me. Thank you so much ladies. Id highly recommend this property definitely!!! Dont hesitate and book it, you wont regret it.

Amazing

This house was amazing, I loved the fact that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The washer and dryer come included with the price and the lovely hosts provide laundry soap, dryer sheets,& toilet paper. It's about a 13 min drive to the downtown area, however, the house sits in a very quaint neighborhood on 3 acres of land which is suitable for a relaxing hike. The hosts S & K are very welcoming and accommodating, they've lived in the area for many years so they're good resources for information. If you happen to find the feisty Brazilian lady you're in luck cause she's a treat to converse with.

Wonderful place! S and C are so welcoming and friendly. Large and comfortable rooms, each with it's own private bathroom. I felt right at home here and will definitely stay here again when I am in this area. You will love this place!!
