Wonderful choice for your stay!

I can't recommend this apartment enough. My husband and I wanted a location that was walkable, quiet, and safe, while also being within a short drive to downtown or the many other regional amenities. We were so happy we ended up here, and we ended up renewing our term to stay longer when my contract was extended. Doug and Marie are fantastic, kind, and accommodating hosts. They are friendly and make a genuine effort to help you feel at home. Their dog is quiet possibly the sweetest, most polite puppy that ever existed. With the apartment being a completely separate space from the house, we always felt like we had plenty of space and privacy. We were originally wary of taking a basement apartment, but this apartment has large windows with tons of natural light. It's well-appointed with plenty of space; my husband works from home and used the second bedroom as an office. It was great having a dedicated laundry all to ourselves as well, and the kitchen has all the basics you'd need. The Alameda area is a great choice for location. Restaurants are within a half mile north or south. Both directions have tons of choices. The neighborhood itself is loaded with historic, well-loved homes that are full of character and architecture. We would often take a walk in the area and enjoy looking at the houses and landscaping. Indeed, the house you would be staying in is one of these beautiful homes as well. Having never traveled to Portland before this experience, we were worried a bit about finding a safe area; let me reassure you that this is a completely safe neighborhood. I have absolutely no concerns about walking around Alameda after dark. All told, we couldn't have found a better place to stay in Portland, and if you are considering this as one of your options, you're not going to find better.

Fantastic Property

This garden apartment was amazing. It was spacious and had ample storage room. The unit was fully stocked with everything that one would need. The owners are great and very accommodating. Bonus for their cute dog. The location is superb and very close to Alberta Street for restaurants, breweries, bars, etc. My partner & I stayed during the summer & the unit was cool during the few heat waves. We had two cars and never had issues with parking (street parking). Would highly recommend for any travel nurses doing an assignment in Portland.

All the comforts of home and amazing owners!

My husband took a 3 month contract at a hospital in Vancouver WA. I would be home all day ( without a car) so finding a warm and cozy space with a good kitchen for cooking and walking distance to shops and restaurants was a priority balanced with a decent commute. We found everything we wanted and more in this space. It is furnished in a high end and thoughtful way, the beds ( having 2 bedrooms was a bonus!) are very comfortable, lots of storage, the bathroom and walk in shower is Ah-mazing! There was plenty of parking, private entry with a dedicated washer/dryer (and another chest freezer to make meal prep easier). The ceiling heights worked even for my nearly 6 foot 6 husbandthe communication with D&M was quick.wifi and a TV for entertainment and I could walk to yoga and coffee.hard to ask for more. This place sets a very high bar for our next furnished finder Enjoy

Amazing home and amazing neighborhood!

I stayed at this apartment for 3 months and felt completely at home during my entire stay. D and M are very gracious and were always eager to make sure I was comfortable. The space is very cute and spacious and had everything I needed. As the weather began to cool down, I started to use the gas fireplace which was very effective in warming up the space as well as giving a very cozy vibe. The neighborhood is very charming and safe and the location is extremely walkable (nearby parks, grocery stores, and restaurants). I would definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful Home hosted by Generous Owners in a Beautiful Neighborhood

I don't think I'll be able to give this listing enough praise. My girlfriend and I stayed here during the fall of 2021. The house was completely set up for everything we needed, and we never found ourselves looking for any additional amenities. The Wi-fi was incredibly fast, and we never had any issues even on days when we both worked remotely and had multiple video calls. The kitchen and dining area are lovely, and have all the equipment you could need. We had friends visit quite frequently, and we were always ready and able to entertain in the space (the fireplace is so nice!). Both bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the entry area provides a great space to store shoes, coats, bikes and more, along with having the laundry machines there (which are very reliable). On top of that, the owners are so kind - always able to recommend things to do and field any questions that we had. This is a gem of a listing, and was a lovely home base for the four months we were there!

Beautiful, spacious home.

My friend and I absolutely loved staying in this cute, cozy, clean apartment. D and M made us feel welcomed from day one and continued to do so throughout our stay. The place had everything we needed and was spacious enough when working from home. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe with walking distance to parks, and grocery stores. D and M were communicative and friendly and made our stay extra enjoyable. I highly recommend!

Peaceful Comfortable Apartment!

My husband and I sold our home recently and needed a place to live until we could find a new property to purchase. We found this apartment on Furnished Finder and it has been a great temporary home for us. The unit is quiet, warm in the winter, and stayed cool in the summer. It has great charm, is in a beautiful old Portland neighborhood and is extremely comfortable. Everything was new - from the furnishings, dishes and linens, to cleaning supplies and reading materials - all you need for a comfortable living space is right here. The unit has a full size washer and dryer, a small chest freezer, plenty of storage space, and the best shower you'll ever find. And in the back yard you'll find an inviting patio space with lovely landscaping and comfortable chairs to read or just enjoy the fresh air. The landlords are gracious, accommodating people who helped us feel welcome. We feel very fortunate to have found this apartment and are grateful for our time spent here.

Wonderful place, location, and hosts!

My boyfriend and I loved staying here! Doug and Marie were excellent hosts. They were easy to contact if we had any questions, and were respectful of our space. The unit is quiet, and having our own entrance was nice so we could come and go without disruption. All of the amenities worked perfectly- we used the kitchen quite a bit as we love to cook, and it was fully stocked. We also found the space to be plenty big to allow us to work remotely without disrupting each others meetings. Finally, the location is amazing! We enjoyed biking and running around the neighborhood. It was a great stay!
