Travel Nurse Stay

I loved this apartment as well as the hosts. Mark and Katy are great. Super accommodating, responsive and helpful with whatever is needed. The apartment is very spacious and homey; it was just what I needed while away from home doing my travel nurse contract. It is well kept and if I ever ran into any minor issues, Mark and Katy were great at resolving them for me in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for short term housing in the area.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY !

First off M and K are the best landlords Ive ever had. They are very accommodating and friendly. They are there if you need anything but they are not intrusive into your stay. Super helpful with tips on navigating the neighborhood and DC. Lots of great recommendations on restaurants, sites, trails for biking or walking and they even know how to find parking in most of the neighborhoods in DC. The apartment is in a very upscale beautiful neighborhood and the parking is always available. As a traveler the apartment was just what I needed. Stocked with all Of the essential as well as cozy with plenty of room to spread out if you have a lot of your own things. Everything from the laundry room to the recycles and trash are very conveniently located. Grab this one if you can because you want to leave once you live there. Happy trails. Quiet, Comfortable, and Green!

If you're looking for a cozy and quiet place of respite to call your own after long hospital shifts, you can't do better than M & K's apartment in Palisades. Sensitive to your needs, these two hosts are always nearby (or a phone call/text away) as the house is shared, yet the entire bottom floor is completely and autonomously yours. Several nature trails are within walking distance and M indeed has quite the collection of bicycles to put you on your way to DC's exciting areas like Georgetown and the National Mall. I personally appreciated the porch/balcony to take a seat and relax for an hour or two, as well as the full kitchen and its amenities. Feel like something's missing? Just let M & K know and they will do their best to get what you need - these are truly two of the kindest and most generous hosts I've encountered on my travels.

Great stay

I stayed here for over 3 months for a travel nurse contract and had a great experience. Mark and Katy were great hosts, the apartment is private with a separate entrance to enter. The neighborhood is amazing and very safe, I never felt unsafe walking even at night. Parking as always available right outside the house and it is free. The apartment is about a ten minute drive into Georgetown or capital hill. Very centrally located. Close drive to Suburban Hospital where I was working. I would definitely stay here again if Im ever in the DC area. Mark also has a lot of bikes you can use if you want, just another perk.

Great

The family was very nice, I would have loved to spend more time getting to know them but COVID has put a damper on almost everything this year. They were very helpful and if I needed anything they were quick to respond. The rental apartment is completely separate from where the family lives, which is what I was looking for so I would not have to wear a mask at home. The house is in a nice neighborhood that is very close to bike trails. I also went kayaking before it got too cold! If I work in this area again, I will check to see if the property is available.
