Welcome to my furnsihed Ketchikan properties!!!
Shared traveler house: This is a private bedroom in a beautiful shared professional home perched above the town of Ketchikan, Alaska with amazing sunset views of the waterfront and mountains! Watch as cruise ships, barges, and whales all float by from the balcony as you enjoy the sunset! ...
Water Views With Water Blues
Stayed in the private waterfront condo which is a bit outdated and overpriced, but the view is stunning and honestly worth it. Unfortunately, the complex required major plumbing upgrades, resulting in the condo being a construction zone for a couple weeks. Colin was always responsive and accommodating, and I did receive a fair reimbursement for the inconvenience. This was no fault of the owners; however, it is worth noting that management may demand entry at any time.
Awesome
Excellent location, highly recommended. Perfects spaces and in good condition. Furthermore, the host is very friendly and responds immediately to any questions, comments or concerns.
Great Stay - 6 months
Solid home with fully stocked kitchen, and responsive landlord who regularly made sure we had everything we needed throughout the house (dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.). He even asked if we needed anything specific and quickly sent the small blender I requested (think MagicBullet). Rooms were clean, no issues with bathrooms. Beautiful views from deck, even in the off-season that I was there. Easy 10-12 minute walk to Ketchikan Medical Center, down hill! It is a steep climb back up to the house, but very doable. Close to grocery, bank, bus stop, but very walkable to 'downtown' if preferred. Overall, good stay, with plan to return for another stay October - December 2024, and other dates in 2025!
Beautiful House, Beautiful Location
The home is beautiful, but the spectacular view from the back porch makes this the best rental in Ketchikan. Watch the eagles soar by and take in the fresh air while admiring the mountains and ocean. I literally just walked down the hill everyday to work. It was so peaceful. C is great - if you need anything he is always willing to help anyway he can. Don't pass up the chance to stay here :)
Comfy in Ketchikan
I greatly enjoyed my time in Ketchikan and coming home to the peace and quiet of the house. The home is well stocked and comfortably furnished. The views from the kitchen/living/dining room windows are spectacular! For people that don't mind room rentals and shared housing spaces, this is the place to be. The other houseguests during my stay were pleasant and respectful. As a hospital worker, you'll be hard pressed to find something closer to the facility. I brought my car, but you can get around without one. There were days I walked to and from the hospital or store instead of driving. The biggest con to the home is that it is situated at the top of a steep hill. If you are without a vehicle, and even sometimes when you have one, you'll need to make the trek up the hill to the house. It's a short distance, but would most likely be problematic for those with mobility issues. The plus sides to the elevation are those amazing views and getting in a good workout walking up that hill!
Absolutely Awesome!
Had the greatest experience in this house! It was clean, very well organized, it has literally anything and everything. My room had like 5 or 6 pillows which was a life saver!! Properly has keyless entry which is great, because I don't have to worry about loosing keys, and all bedrooms have locks as well, so I felt absolutely safe leaving my stuff there. I would definitely recommend this place!
Perfect location
The house is clean, cozy, modern and nicely decorated with all the essentials in the middle of town. The views are amazing! There is laundry and a storage room for luggage, good WiFi throughout the house, plenty of kitchen space and living room to relax. My bedroom is comfortable, and I just love my bed :) The green bus line passes at the bottom of the hill and then it's a quick 5-minute walk to the house. A shared home will appeal to individuals who are respectful of housemates, clean up after themselves and appreciate being in nature surrounded by trees, birds and eagles. And yes! on a clear night there is the possibility of seeing auroras in the winter! (fingers crossed)
