The property was beautiful in a safe quiet neighborhood with all amenities on property. Was about a 20 minute drive to Hilo Medical Center, plenty of grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants nearby. Very island feel and relaxing place to call home while working on island. Property owner was very nice and easy to reach whenever needed, and has good reliable cars to rent. Will return next year when I take another assignment on the Big Island.

I did not enjoy renting here. location wise, though not far from town in regards to mileage, the traffic is often very heavy. when going to and from work at the hospital, it took anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hour. the house itself felt safe; however the neighborhood and surrounding area was not. when i moved into this unit from the landlords other unit, this apartment was extremely dirty when i was led to believe it was move in ready. my security deposit was returned to me 3 weeks late, despite regular communication throughout that time. the landlord still claimed to have forgotten and the deposit amount was lower than expected because the landlord failed to tell me that the cost of cleaning the unit went up. i did not trust this landlord and if i contract in hilo, i will not be working with him again.

Great property. Landlord is very nice and accommodating. Whatever problems there may be related to the house or not the landlord will always be willing to help. It is a bit of a drive to Hilo Medical Center where I worked. about 27 minute drive but the house is in a safe area. It is in between 3 cities to visit. Has all the necessities and more in the house to live comfortably. Would definitely rent again if I do another contract here.

We stayed at this property from Jun-November 2021. We actually stayed in both rentals over the course of the 6 months. The larger rental has 4 large bedrooms and one bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked and we were easily able to cook at home. There are two extra bathrooms with showers and two washers/dryers on the outside of the house as well. Once our kids left for school after the summer we moved into the smaller studio. It is perfect for two people. Theres a nice comfortable bed, a living room area, a small kitchen and a dining area. There is also a large closet space where the bathroom is. It easily fits the needs of a traveling medical professional. I worked at Hilo Medical and its about a 25-30 minute drive depending on time of day/traffic. The neighborhood is fantastic and we loved it so much that we are buying a house there. From the property you can drive through the neighborhood down to the ocean cliffs in less than 5 minutes. We loved to take our dinner down there and watch the waves crash against the cliffs. Weve seen sea turtles, dolphins, and seals while we lounged in the lava rock pools. The owner of the property is honest, dependable, very responsive and takes the time to communicate anything that is going on at the house. He has security cameras on the property to help ensure your safety. The house sits on a one acre lot and feels very spacious. If you are looking to experience the aloha of Hawaii, this is the place.

This place is an absolute gem! It felt safe, quiet, and very comfortable. The host's attention to detail was very apparent and made our stay feel like home. The house was fully and thoughtfully furnished; we had everything we needed, plus more. The home looks even better in person! The property is on an acre of land, which was well maintained throughout our stay. Our toddler was able to safely play outside without any concerns. We were also treated with a surrounding of beautiful tropical plants all around the property. The host is a hula instructor and his studio is on site. The students were all very respectful and there was never an issue with noise, parking, etc. The host himself was very kind and often went above and beyond our expectations. He was very responsive and helpful whenever we asked for info or recomendations. It genuinely felt like this place is very special to him and he made us feel so welcome in it.
