Great Property, Great Management
I was put in a situation where my move to new city for a job was put on hold, and I was in an awkward limbo for about three months. I needed a furnished place on a short term lease, and I was referred to Anne by a friend of mine. I am very lucky to have been connected with Anne! She was an amazing property manager to work with. We was very accomodating when I needed to extend the duration of my rental, and all of my issues and repairs were addressed promptly by vetted professionals who were also great to work with. Beyond that, the unit that I rented was legitimately beautiful, great for entertaining, and genuinely felt like home despite my semi-brief tenure. If I ever move back to Kansas City and am in need of a rental, Anne will be my first call that I make; I would be extremely excited to rent from her again.
Awesome place
I enjoyed my stay at building 700 Broadway everything was clean and functioning properly. If there is a studio available when I get back to KC I will call the landlord right away !!!
City studio dwelling at its best
I love this unit, and if I could afford it, I'd buy it! It's owned by two artists (you can tell the minute you walk in) and is in turnkey condition. Location has enough amenities, you often don't need your car. I bought a home out south, but would love to have this space back for when I'm in the city. Enjoy!
beautiful place but rethink living here.
I had the unfortunate circumstance of living in this apartment and having my life put in danger being robbed at knife point in the parking lot used for us to park in. I had come home at about 8:45pm. In the span of 15 minutes this man had assaulted me and put a knife to my neck. It was the scariest moment of my life. After this happened, I could not bring myself to continue to live in this apartment building or downtown for that matter without feeling safe. When I reached out to A M the manager of this building she gave me no reassurance that I would feel safe here. I had asked for security to be there earlier if possible as I am a nurse and come home everyday at 7:30pm and security is not available until 9pm and ends their shift at 5am. So going to work at 6:30am I would not feel safe either. When I said all this to her, she just repeated herself, 9pm - 5am. When I asked if closer parking is available, she once again told me no. She even told me I could park in the front of the building, which on my first day into the apartment I was told we are not allowed and would receive parking tickets if we did so. She wanted me to stay somewhere I did not feel safe, while not doing anything to help. It was for this reason I decided to leave, for my safety and the post traumatic stress I kept feeling everytime I thought of the idea of me being alone in that parking lot and it happening to me again. When I voiced this to A, her only response was that I would still have to pay for the last two months of my lease. She in no way tried to meet me half way. And when I stated that I would do something to end it as I mentally and emotionally could not return there, her only response was that my credit score was gonna hurt after this when she sent my balance to collections. I dont think Ive ever had to deal with someone as insincere and inhumane as A. This building is beautiful and my neighbors and everyone living in it is amazing, but dont have the unfortunate circumstance as I did to have your life almost taken in it and expect any type of empathy from the manager.
