One of the best stays I've had!
I cannot say enough great things about this location and both of the hosts! I'll do my best though! To start the place was cozy and clean. It had a fully stocked kitchen, working washer and dryer, and looked adorable. There was a beautiful sunny nook where I was able to workout and do some yoga, and plenty of extra space to store some items I travel with. It was in walking distance of two grocery stores, multiple bars, restaurants, and breweries, and a couple farmers markets. Easy drive to Mission Hospital as well. The hosts were responsive and thoroughly explained everything about the property. They were warm and friendly and were eager to make suggestions so I could get the most out of my time in Asheville! I also felt that I had a resource if I had any trouble with my car or was lost or anything like that, which as a solo female traveler means a lot. If I'm ever in the area again I will always check for this property first!
First time Travel Nurse
I had the pleasure of staying at Chestnut House for the duration of my first travel assignment in Asheville, NC. My experience there was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. The space is very charming, quiet, and cozy! The house is in a great location - walking distance to Haywood Rd which has tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and stores and was about a 10-15 minute drive to Mission Hospital where I worked. As a first time travel nurse away from home, S and N were such great landlords, frequently checking in to make sure I had everything I needed and offering plenty of recommendations for things to see and do in town.
Fantastic Stay
This is a wonderful, clean, comfortable, quiet spot only a block away from the action. S and N are wonderful hosts who are there to make your stay comfortable. Chestnut House is in a wooded setting and only a block away from restaurants, coffee shops and entertainment. The back yard is huge! The neighborhood is wonderful; full of friendly and quirky people. If you want to experience the real Asheville this is the place to go. Thank you S and N for a wonderful experience. D and D
Great Hosts! Great House!
We have stayed in many vacation rentals, but this one is by far the best. It boasts of a nice location - it is literally in West Asheville downtown and just 10 mins to the main downtown area, so you would have easy access to many high rated restaurants, boutique stores and supermarkets . This house has everything for your comfort and, the many small touches give a homely feel. The best thing, however, were our hosts - S & N were simply amazing. They were very responsive, helped with everything we needed for cooking or working from home (they had put a computer table and rotating chair on our request), and always suggested good restaurants & events. They went above and beyond, even invited us over for a Thanksgiving dinner with their family (it was our 1st so we were truly grateful to them).
