Travel Contract

My dogs and I stayed with Dr.L in the basement room while I was on a work contract in the area for about a year and during that time there were a few instances that happened that were inconvenient/questionable but nothing that wasnt rectified after communicating with Dr. L. The one less star in the review is for the area the home is situated in as it is not the safest especially to walk your dogs in so it helped a lot that the home has its own backyard. Overall it was a pleasant stay that I would gladly do over again within Dr. Ls home. Thank you for everything I very much appreciated it!

Perfect stay!

Dr. Qualls was very accommodating to all my needs. This was my first travel contract so I was very anxious with the stay. Dr. Qualls did everything to make me feel at home. The house was beautiful, in a very nice neighborhood and very close to the hospital I worked for. The house was very spacious, my room was huge and the common areas (kitchen, bathroom and living space) were very nice and very clean. Dr. Qualls was a great host and would definitely reach out to her if I ever come back to Milwaukee. I would highly recommend staying in her property as she will go out of her way to make you feel comfortable.

Review

I had a great stay in Milwaukee. Dr. L was very accommodating and sought to make sure any needs were met. There were some difficulties moving in to the house, but Dr. L provided a hotel to stay at while the house was being prepared. Very easy to get along with, would recommend.

Great Cozy Clean Location

L was a great host and very receptive to my schedule of when I'd be in Milwaukee. The room is very nice and the house contains a nice living room and a fully stocked kitchen. Parking is available on the street. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a long term place to stay.

Awesome Place to Stay

I love staying with Dr. L. She is quite hospitable. Her place is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It is nice to have a washer and dryer in house. There is a nice backyard. Dr. L makes it easy for you to make yourself at home.

Great place to stay!

L is a great host with a great place to stay. The house has charming character. The rooms are welcoming, neat, clean, and tidy. L has clear guidelines on how to create a lovely living environment. I have only good things to say about this host and property. I do have one suggestion, park your car on the off street for safe entry and exit from you car.

True home away from home

I truely felt at home at this property, L is clean opens up her homrand keeps the property clean inside/out. This was a great deal for me, I came over from Massachesetts and did contract work in the area for 1Y 2M. I had access to kitchen, dinning room, bathroom, L and her family where fun to get along with. They also respected my privacy. There would be a influx a fun new guest to meet as well which was fun 2 people in the other unit and 1 or 2 in the main house. Alot of great acivities in the area if you like festivals, latin dance, jazz.The house is on a main road, easy access to the MTCS Redline and Bus 30, which can get you almost anywhere you need to go every 15 mins, Street parking avaiable. So the sound of veichles passing and random activity on the street. I am not sure what more you can ask for it was affordable and close to 2 large parks. I notifed her that I would be traveling 100% with compan approaching the end of my contact and we arranged a pro-rated end date.

Great host

My stay at Ls was spectacular. Just the ideal house and location for a short term leaser. L was very accommodating and welcome .will to share her home and family with me. I had a really great experience and very much enjoyed my stay. Her house is clean and well organized and happily return there on my next visit .

Deposits are Non Refundable

I booked this location with a $300 deposit July 21, 2023. My contract start date was August 13,2023. On August 1, 2023 I received notification my contract was cancelled. I messaged the landlord advising her of the situation and requesting my deposit which shows on this property location page as refundable. She stated per her page deposit is not refundable. It clearly states refundable. There is no mention of keeping your deposit if the contract cancels.

Did the job but wouldnt stay again

The property was as pictured/clean. L lives on one side & 2 travelers on the other. The property is not in the best area. I didnt feel unsafe going from my car to the front door b/c its on a busy street but there was a shooting outside the home during my stay. Not a place to walk your dog alone at night. L was kind/very receptive to feedback but there were times I felt I had to set boundaries. For the first few weeks she was letting herself into the apartment unannounced to do laundry, get mail, etc. After I brought to her attention that this wasnt normal landlord behavior (this isnt a hostel..?) & made me uncomfortable she said she wouldnt come into the apt w/o notice for the rest of my stay (and she stuck to her word). She also once let Airbnb guests from her side into our apt w/o our consent & told us they would stay the night with us. We expressed concerns over safety/security/etc & she promptly told them to leave.. If you want privacy you must be explicit about it.
