Awesome temporary home

My spouse and I recently relocated to Portland following an unexpected job loss. Of course, it was very stressful, especially when our first temp location fell through. Our landlord at this location was so kind and helpful as we settled in for an indeterminate amount of time. She was responsive and flexible which took so much pressure off. The location is close to Randall Children's so would be great for healthcare workers. And we have a new friend in Portland! Thanks for helping our transition!!!

Find something better!

Unfortunately, my experience with this landlord was negative. During colder periods, the home was kept uncomfortably cold, & when we asked for the temp to be set to a reasonable range (around 68-69), she responded "my house, my bills, my rules" & continued to control the thermostat. We were also told at move in that there was no need to do a walk through or document the condition of the home because she "knew the house like the back of her hand". I strongly recommend future renters take detailed move-in photos regardless. Our security deposit was later withheld for what appeared to be normal wear & tear (that was present when we moved in) with no proper invoice. There were maintenance & safety concerns during our stay, including black mold in the bathroom, 2 gas leaks, & door knobs that repeatedly fell off. The upstairs airbnb guests could often be heard late into the night. The only reason we remained in this rental was due to limited availability on FF at the time.
