The perfect place for a travel nurse

This place was amazing! A was wonderful and has done an amazing job creating a safe, comfortable, and peaceful place to live. The place felt like home away from home. Very spacious. Loved having a kitchen to prepare meals. Location was great as you could easily walk to downtown San Rafael. I did a 13 week travel assignment at Marin General and the location of this property made for the easiest commute to work I've ever had- 5 minutes, never any traffic. I always felt safe in the neighborhood and enjoyed taking walks around Gerstle Park and the downtown area. A is very kind and easy to communicate with. If you are looking for a place near Marin General, you won't find one better than this one!

Great place to live

This is the farthest my husband and I have lived from home and this space made the transition easy with all the natural light, essentials, and neighborhood feel while also being so close to downtown. The ceilings are very high which makes the space feel much larger. We never felt crowded in the space living with two people. The location was perfect for me to commute to the north of the city and for my husband who was working 50% from home and taking the bus to San Francisco 50% of the time (walking distance from San Rafael transit center). A and J are great hosts that made sure all our needs were met while also maintaining our privacy. They also had great recommendations for hiking, activities, restaurants, etc. Definitely recommend and would stay again if back in the area!

Home away from home

I cannot rave enough about this amazing property and the owner, A! I had a pleasure to stay here for my assignment at Marin general and could not have asked for a better place! First of all, the cottage is about 7 minute drive from the hospital on any given time! No traffic! A is an amazing host! She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable! She even got a keyboard for me because I could not bring mine from home! So kind and so caring! The house is in a super safe neighborhood! I have not felt this safe in any neighborhoods in CA! We could go on a walk at 10 PM and felt safe! Very quiet, very clean, very safe! There is parking of the street. Very comfy bed! The house has absolutely everything! I think it was the best stocked house out of all that I have ever rented! There is a washer and dryer that are shared with Aparna and is readily available for your use. Great restaurants within walking distance. I hope to come and stay here again! Absolutely amazing!

Beautiful

Its a beautiful cottage in a gorgeous tree lined neighborhood with Victorian homes. The landlord made everything seamless and was very accommodating. I only moved because I wanted to be closer to work, otherwise I would have stayed!

A Perfect home away

I have stayed twice in this magical cottage and each time the experience was wonderful.My stay in the summer was full of light and natural fragrance from the blooming roses, hydrangeas and fruit trees. The owner generously shared her fruit which was a great addition to breakfast on the small patio.I was lucky to be able to stay once again in January. I felt wrapped up in a safe cocoon with plush blankets in the comfortable bed while the weather was storming outside. The cottage is peaceful and quiet and has an old world charm with modern comforts.The mini splits in the bedroom and the living room keep the cottage cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter.It is stocked with essential amenities in the kitchen and bathroom so you don't have to rush to make a grocery run. The owner is kind and thoughtful and I missed her presence in January. I would love an opportunity to be in the area and rent this place again

Exceptionally Beautiful Peaceful Cottage

This place is amazing! It is fully stocked with anything you could want or need. The full-size washer and dryer are a cherry on top. Comfy bed, and linens...so much attention to detail. The yard is like a Zen garden and perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The neighborhood is quiet, established and within walking distance to parks, restaurants and shops. The owner was easy to communicate with and make moving in a breeze! I cannot say enough about this place. Truly a travel nurse dream property.

Wonderful Home Away from Home in San Rafael

I spent 2 wonderful months living in this surprisingly spacious One Bedroom. Quiet, safe, and walkable neighborhood, within walking distance of downtown San Rafael as well as hiking trails in the surrounding hills. A, my host, was gracious, accommodating, and always helpful with information about the area, and suggestions for FUN things to do and places to go. Less than a 5 minute drive to 101, but you would never know, in the quiet neighborhood where the house is nestled. It only took me 30 minutes, door to door to commute to a hospital in downtown San Francisco. I would stay here again, in a heart beat, and would recommend this house to anyone interested.

Inspiring, Cozy, Relaxing, Beautiful

Staying in this beautiful cottage I was inspired every morning by the gorgeous views of trees and nature from every window. Theres a cute semi-private coffee table at the entry to enjoy outdoor coffee or tea, the living room faces beautiful wisteria in her backyard, the kitchen is light filled too with more views of the backyard fig trees (which were incredibly delicious) and persimmons. She also has an orange tree and they are divine. The bedroom is surrounded by beautiful views and the curtains close to blackout for a great rest on a very comfortable mattress. There is heat and ac, wooden hangers , nooks to read and inspiring books all over the cottage. Comfortable and beautiful antique furniture and warmly decorated. A was very communicative, kind, helpful and respectful of privacy as well. The neighborhood is beautiful and surrounded by big trees yet walking distance or short drive to everything. I would rent again any time.

A Hidden Gem!

Amazing, fully furnished cottage that gets the most gorgeous light. I stayed for 3 months while I was looking for a more permanent place and it was such a godsend. The place is so spacious and lovely, fully stocked with kitchen amenities, linens, towels, the most delightful books! The host lives right next door and is always communicative and helpful with anything you need. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a short term stay.

Chic cottage in a great area

This is an amazing property that is within walking distance to downtown San Rafael. The cottage is clean, comfortable, well decorated, spacious, and has all of the amenities. The cottage is private and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. Apurna and James are very accommodating and gracious. I would definitely stay here again!

Charming Cottage

This quaint cottage was very clean and my husband and I felt very Covid safe during our one month stay. The pictures provided of the cottage are very accurate. Everyday household supplies and even some food items were stocked. The bed was notably comfortable and the shower water pressure and temperature were great. The owner was extremely understanding and accommodating, especially when I inadvertantly broke an overhead light fixture in the evening and it was replaced the next day. The only negative I can think of was the inconsistent WiFi/internet/streamingTV service that the owner diligently attempted to remediate. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would recommend the charming cottage.

What a great experience! This sweet cottage was extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated with family heirlooms. It had everything I needed, and the host was charming and extremely responsive to any questions I had. Would absolutely stay there again and would recommend to anyone! Also perfectly located walking distance from a coffee shop, grocery store, downtown San Rafael etc. Run dont walk to rent it out

Amazing stay

I hesitate to share a review of this secret gem as I hope it is always available for my future visits but... My boyfriend and I absolutely loved staying in this adorable cottage while visiting family in the area. It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and such a cozy place to get away. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals there and we loved the sweet patio area where we could enjoy our morning coffee outside. Host was super helpful and also gave us plenty of space and privacy. Will definitely be back soon.
