Wonderful Place + Host

I stayed with Fay for a few months in 2023 when I moved from Omaha to Denver for my first job after grad school, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The rental was excellent, and Fay went out of her way to help me adjustsharing advice on neighborhoods, pointing me toward dining spots, and making me feel welcome from day one. Over time, we built a real friendship, and even now, she and Ray still invite me when they find new restaurants. Fay is warm, dependable, and thoughtful, always attentive without being intrusive. The home reflects that same level of carespotlessly clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The neighborhood is peaceful and pleasant to walk through. Fay and Ray respect your privacy but are approachable and fun to talk with. A highlight for me was chatting soccer with Ray, a passionate Arsenal fan. All in all, I cant recommend this place enoughwhether for weeks or months, it truly feels like home.

Small room sans proper air ventilation

Lovely couple. However: I made it perfectly clear I needed my room to be 70 degrees. The last place I left, after only 1, was 74 degree. I was assured it would NOT be that warm. But turned out it was 75 & 76 degrees for all of Aug! Had to sleep w/ ice packs every night. ( I have temp pics). Apparently there was something wrong with the upstairs ducts. But wasn't informed of that b4 moving in. Also felt ripped off: $1300 for: NO ceiling fan, no black out shades, no desk & chair, no reading chair & no portable A/C sans window vent. And a narrow Bamboo dresser that could barely fit my Summer tops. (I have pics). Also their adorable dog barked every morning around 0830. Had to put in Ear Buds every morning. And I was informed she worked from home w/ ear buds. So I played my music every day for ONLY 1 hr while getting ready, in mid morning. Had NO idea it 'disturbed' her. She wasn't honest & it wasn't in the lease I shouldn't turn it on in the daytime.

Repeated renter

I have stayed with Fay 4 different times. I would come back and forth to Denver for travel contracts and always rented again from her. Fay is reliable, clean, and approachable. You essentially have the entire back half of the upstairs with laundry right outside of your room. Fay and Ray keep to themselves yet are extremely friendly. It is easy to either keep to yourself or engage with them, which was great for me as a night shift worker. They have great stories and recommendations on anything Colorado or traveling, especially international. The area was amazing and big reason I would keep coming back! Two blocks from Tennyson street with lots of shops and restaurants. Easy access to grocery, gyms, gas stations and the interstate. Being about a 5 min drive to I-70 gave me fast access to get to my hospital as well as the mountains. But you still have a quite and quaint neighborhood feel at Fay's space. With Denver rentals being so expensive, Fay's space is a great deal!!

Perfect Travel Home

I can't give this host & property enough stars!!! 10/10 Would recommend to a fellow traveler. I stayed with Faye for 6 months while I worked in downtown Denver. It was the perfect location, easy interstate access, and a straight shot to downtown. My drive to work was 10mins, the drive home was a little slower due to typical 5oclock traffic. Beautiful, quiet, neighborhood. Lots of streets for walking/running! Tons of restaurants to chose from as Tennyson is just steps away! Street parking is reliable, something I was hesitant about coming from the south! Faye was always helpful in reminding me about the street sweeping schedule, most of the time I was at work anyway! Grocery & Gas options all over the neighborhood. The property itself is beautiful, clean & tastefully decorated. I spent most of my time on the rooftop terrace because it was so quiet and had a great view of the mountains! Hopefully if I come back to Denver, this spot will be available!
