Great!
Fantastic little bungalow right in the heart of the city, beautifully furnished with antique wooden furniture. Comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. Fast internet connection. Nice front porch to sit on. Very welcoming hosts. I really felt at home here and I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of spending time in Bellingham.
Home away from home
From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be a great spot. It is warm and inviting. Nothing is missing in this charming home. You are treated like family. I actually wish I could have stayed longer!
Comfortable & enjoyable
We spent 4 months in S and J's cottage. They were excellent neighbors and quick to respond. J, being a woodworker, did a lot of stylist renovations and S created a lovely a garden around the cottage. Privacy is insured by a hedge in front of the house. The kitchen was well stocked with ample counter spaces and cabinets. The living room and dining room were spacious for a small cottage but the some furniture could use updating. The bedroom was small but had ample closet space and the bed was particularly comfortable. The cottage was located on a busy street where whistles from passing trains could also be heard but the noise didnt bother me as the bedroom was located where noise was significantly muted. The location is close enough to walk to nearby restaurants. Lettered Streets Coffee House is nearby and within walking distance is Old Town Cafe which has great breakfasts as does Camber, across the street. Excellent nearby bodyworker: www.bodyworkbybrighton.com
Beautiful Bellingham
My wife and I stayed here for three months and had a wonderful time. The location here is just fabulous, which is just what we needed as we didn't have a car during our stay. But even with a car, you may choose to walk downtown, as you're a short 10-15 minutes away, which means you can easily catch a movie or go out to eat without having to deal with parking. J and S were very accommodating, providing us with whatever we needed if it wasn't already supplied. The space was great too! The kitchen, especially, was great. You're going to love Bellingham its trails, restaurants, and people. We very much hope to return someday.
Absolutely Fantastic
J and S are absolutely fantastic landlords. From the very beginning they were incredibly welcoming, and never hesitated to help me whenever they could. From giving me recommendations to local restaurants to letting me borrow a fan during a heat wave, I always felt welcomed in their cottage. The cottage itself was nice to live in, and came equipped with everything I needed during my three month stay. While the cottage is noticeably aged with signs of wear and tear that accumulates over time, it does have nice features inside. The cooktop/oven is brand new, and the one issue that arose while I was there was instantly taken care of. The cottage is located about a 5 minute walk away from downtown, and is a very short drive away from anywhere in Bellingham. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here during my first few months in Bellingham. J and S were wonderful hosts, and very nice people. I would recommend this place to anybody looking to stay in this incredible town.
Great place, great owners
Simple and charming cottage near the water. The owners have taken care to make the place comfortable and inviting. Even being mostly trapped indoors because of covid restrictions and this cold wet winter was not an issue. If you have the opportunity to stay here, youd be making a mistake by going somewhere else.
