Cute, Convenient And Accommodating
My partner and I stayed here for her travel nurse contract. Great location - 10 minutes drive to Folly Beach and 10-15 minute drive into downtown Charleston. S was always very responsive and took care of anything we needed right away. Nice big yard, plenty of parking space in the drive way. Smallish yet spacious house with good natural light. Felt like a safe and friendly neighborhood. This is an easy place to live and we would highly recommend it.
PROCEED WITH CAUTION
renters beware! My friend and I had found this property about a month ago. We did a facetime video call with the property owner, S, and proceeded to verbalize we would be renting from her and gave her a 1000 deposit to secure the home. My friend arrived late on the first and while in transit she advised S that her bank account had daily limits so she would need to do one half of the rest of the deposit/rent one day and the other half the next. S made this seem as there was no problem with this as my friend offered for me to send it all over the same day as my limits are higher. Fast forward to sunday morning my friend woke up with no hot water. S arrived and was highly defensive about the water and also made sly remarks that my friend did not know how to manage her money regarding the need to do two transactions. she advised my friend she felt it wasnt a good fit and said she had 72 hours to find a new place. Once she realized it was the hot water heater that was the problem her tone changed but my friend and I did in fact find a new place and leave. S chose to charge us a prorated amount for the two nights that she stayed which we gladly would pay but also robbed us of a cleaning fee even though there was minimal impact to the home, my friend was cleaning dead frogs from inside, and the couch was stained from the beginning. S believes things like hot water and curtain rods are going out of her way to be a good landlord so if you are okay with the bare minimum id say this place is a good fit for you!
