House in New Orleans, Louisiana
Landlord Tenure: 5 years, 4 months
The property is an elevated duplex with ample parking and an arty vibe. It has cold AC and is very comfortable with furniture curated by an interior designer. it's lovely to live here and am excited to be sub-letting this side of the duplex at a reduced rate. The other side has always been on furnished finders with zero vacancy with the main population being nurses for University Hsp and the VA as it is less than a mile away an...
A quiet retreat duplex that is bright and arty. It has 4 rooms with traditional shot-gun lay-out. the rooms are brightly painted and spacious. The extra bedroom can be an entertainment room or office. The back porch is a lovely sitting area that steps down into a small yard with a tropical feel of cane. This unit is priced lower due to limited closet space. Prefer cats over dogs but can be swayed.
A lovely vibrant neighborhood. Interstate very accessible. 3 blocks from Esplanade to catch 91 to-uptown. 5 buses to fq under the I-10. Walk to French Quarter in under .7 miles. Walk to the Fairgrounds. Also City Park under mile. Tulane and University Hsp in the neighborhood.
Perfect!
Betsy is a lovely person and her property was perfect for my 3 month stay in New Orleans. Conveniently located to bus stops, amazing restaurants, and fun attractions. Thank you so much Betsy for everything!
Travel
Highly recommend! You are just a short distance away from all the cities attractions! I felt very safe. Besty was only one call away if I need something or had a concern. I enjoyed my stay! I will rent this unit again if I ever decide to travel again in the New Orleans area.
Location location location! You can walk to SO many places from here, and the bus is just down the street. This is the perfect spot to go discover Nola. Plus, Betsy is super kind and helpful. Don't miss this gem!
Close to everything!
This unit is close to all the fun things. You're a short walk (20-30 minutes from the quarter, bourbon st, frenchman st, etc) or a quick and cheap Lyft ride. The block has very friendly neighbors that look out for one another. The unit is very colorful and happy feeling! I plan to move back to NOLA at some point in my career and I would definitely move back here feeling safe and with the ability to have fun fast!
Good value for money
Great location, loads of public transportation nearby, nice street, good value for money. Landlord B is right nextdoor if you need anything and is quick to react and help.
New Orleans
B was great, always there to help with whatever you need. I really appreciated her checking on me always making sure I wasnt sick or needed medicine. I would definitely stay here again if I were to take another travel assignment it in New Orleans.
Welcoming stay in New Orleans
I had a great time at Betsy's place in New Orleans. Betsy was incredibly kind and welcoming; her warmth stood out from my stay, especially because I had never before visited the city. The porch is a great place to soak up the sun during chilly (for New Orleans!) winter mornings. I love walking and biking, and I was easily able to walk or bike everywhere I wanted in the city. The apartment was partially furnished during my stay but had the basics. Wifi was fast; the apartment is bright and spacious; and I got a kick out of all the neighborhood cats that hang out outside. I strongly recommend this space for short term stays. One thing I wish I had known is that there is a protective screen over most of the windows. The screen lets plenty of light in but you can't see out! This isn't a big deal--those windows would just overlook the neighboring house anyway--but it feels a little like being inside a space ship.
