Feels like home…
As traveling nurses, we seek relaxation after a long day at work, I found just that in this apartment. The rooms a large and comfortable, all the items you will need to feel at home, and the neighborhood has all the stores you need close by. It's only a few minutes from the hospital, which was so convenient for work. And the host was very attentive to details. I highly recommend this apartment for your next assignment in New Haven!
Great place to stay and great owners
My wife and I stayed here for a travel contract. We have been traveling for a few years and have stayed at many places. This was probably the best place we have stayed so far. We stayed on the 3rd floor and it was really spacious. The kitchen had great counter space for cooking which is important to me. My wife writes during the day, and she found the bedroom to be quite useful as it has a lot of windows that provide natural light and it's huge consisting of a couch and desk. The neighborhood is really cool because you are 3 blocks from an amazing park. Very useful if you have a dog. The house is also a 5 minute drive to St. Raphaels hospital. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Some parts of New Haven are rough but this area is really nice. While walking our dog, my wife and I would encounter the nicest people. Really good neighbors and great landlords. We had no problems with Allison and she was very helpful. We accidentally shipped something there after we moved out and she shipped it all the way to Texas where we live and refused any money I offered. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
So many issues
Owner kept money past the legal return dates Bad neighborhood Pictures don't match unit Strange rules on luandry Very little air movement and comes up to you Whole house fan doesn't work Many holes and scuffs on the walls Place looks like it was meant to be a flip, but they did a bad job A/C is just window units Couches are completely worn out and as hard as a rock Internet sucks, not even be able to load a webpage Bathtub leaks onto the 2nd floor (and they know about this issue) $75 background check per person is way too high Brick is failing apart inside the unit Bedroom is at the street which is very noisy Needed to buy blackout curtains They smoke pot on their porch which is right below the master bedroom window Second bed is actually a futon Bug infestation Bathroom door does not close all the way Front door electric lock box didn't always lock (this was trimmed to fit)
Close to Yale New Have Hospital
Property is very close to Yale hospital and downtown. The house itself is clean and has all the appliances, bedding, and bathroom accessories needed. The space is very spacious, room sizes are large. A was very communicative and accommodating for any issues or changes that we had.
