rats, dirt and lost deposit

The owner kept part of our deposit and it just wasnt fair. The house had rats all winter and instead of helping, Dale told us it was our problem and even asked us to pay for pest control. When we moved in the place was dirty, full of dog hair and we had to clean it ourselves. At the end they claimed the house smelled curry as an excuse to keep our money and makes no sense since we did not cook in that house at all because of the rat issue. Really mean and unreasonable experience. If you do end up staying here, take lots of pictures from day one and make sure to ask how they handle rats because you will almost definitely have to deal with them (And document it).

While I respect every guests right to share their experience, this review is both inaccurate and unfair. Clearly in retaliation of keeping the deposit since trashed the place upon moveout. Rodents: There were no rats. A few common field mice were reported a seasonal issue in older homes and almost certainly attracted by food left out and strong cooking odors. Prior to this guests stay and since their departure, there have been no pest complaints. ZERO. Despite the signed agreement stating pest control is a guest responsibility, I paid out-of-pocket for professional treatment and did not charge the guest a dime. Cleanliness: The home was professionally cleaned prior to move-in, and no complaints were made at check-in. The guest stayed over 12 months with multiple extensions something that doesnt align with claims of an unlivable home! Deposit: The guest did not receive a refund because the damages exceede the deposit. the cost to replace the damaged sectional couch alone exceeded the full deposit. The unit was also returned with extensive dog hair and strong food odor. Cleaning receipts, damage photos, and lease terms all support the deductions taken. This was handled fairly and professionally. I welcome communication from all prospective guests and am happy to provide references, photos, or lease samples. I work hard to offer clean, comfortable, and well-maintained homes and I stand by how this situation was handled.

Beautiful Home!

The neighborhood is safe and very well kept up. The house was clean, warm and cozy. It had everything I needed for my travel. My dogs loved the backyard and there is ample space to park at the front and back of the house. Loved my stay here!

Adorable neighborhood and perfect location!

Pros: Walking distance to downtown, quiet safe neighborhood, small fenced yard perfect for pets, in-unit washer and dryer. Cons: very very firm beds, one bathroom (located upstairs). D was a very responsive host!
