Perfect Location
I’ve been renting here over 5 months. Perfect Location! On the beach and across from the Bellair Plaza. Everything you need I’d there Publix, Marshall, Dollar Tree, Walgreens etc. Many restaurants all within Walking Distance. This studio has a well stocked kitchen, I didn’t do much cooking but plenty of pots & pans. Nice coffee bar set up with single K cups or make a pot. Great view looking south down Daytona Beach. Bed was very comfortable with storage drawers beneath. Owners were very accommodating and great to deal with when needed. Condo was fully furnished although I brought my own towels etc. Building itself is older and had some damage from previous hurricanes however they are getting things back up and running inside pool and hot tubs plus one outside pool is open. The Atlantic Ocean is open everyday and you are literally on the beach. It was exactly what I needed!
Decent but would not stay again
Place was not terrible but for the price I would not stay there again. Parking is a 3-4 minute walk but is not right below the property so if you are planning on coming home late at night I would advise against this property. You cannot ship to this address so you have to rent a PO Box across the street at UPS and the hours are hard to meet if you work a 9-5. The building amenities (gym, pool, beach access) are closed and the washer and dryer is only on a few floors (excluding the floor that this apartment is on). The washer and dryer only takes coins and is broken on some of the floors (there are only 1-2 washers and 1-2 dryers per floor). There was a leak in the sink when I stayed there and it got the whole bathroom wet, I had to personally pay to clean the bath mats and floors but the landlord covered the plumber. There is no oven or toaster, there is however an air fryer. There is also no vent in the kitchen and no windows other than a sliding door. I did not get my full safety deposit back because of a remote so I was charged 30 dollars which felt unreasonable because most remotes are 10-15 dollars max on Amazon, I also did not use the TV nor see the remote when I first came in. The location is not necessarily dangerous but there are a lot of strange people at night and sometimes they entered the building, there was however security which made me feel safer. The hallway had a weird smell to it, this could just be me as I am sensitive to scent. The neighbors are extremely loud during the day and at night but are very nice so you may have to speak to them if you are bothered by noise. The area itself is not bad because there is a Publix and Marshalls but other than that there is not really anything to do past 9 PM and it is pretty far from things. Overall the landlord was decently responsive but the place itself was not worth the rent price and was a hassle.
