Nice Property, Difficulty Moving Out
The house itself was very nice, with fruit trees in the backyard that made it especially enjoyable. The landlord was friendly and attentive, though he tended to the property frequently, which didnt bother me but could feel intrusive to some. The location was convenientclose to Balboa Park, beaches, and lots of great things to dothough the neighborhood wasnt the best, with a few instances where I felt unsafe walking around. The biggest downside was the move-out process. The landlord withheld part of the security deposit, claiming damages that didnt make sense (for example, saying the pull chain on a ceiling fan was broken and blaming us for an appliance that was already broken when we arrived). If you rent here, I strongly recommend taking detailed photos when you move in and out, and keeping track of what works and what doesnt. Overall, the house was nice and well-located, but be cautious and document everything.
Cute house in San diego - perfect for a a couple or 2 roomates
The property was clean and just what we needed to work remotely. About a ~15 minute drive to beaches (PB, mission beach, etc.) and a little closer to downtown. Had no issues with wifi and the house was well stocked. Some areas of the neighborhood werent the nicest but I never felt unsafe. Would definitely stay again!
Great place to stay
Nicely furnished home with everything you could need. It has a big backyard with fruit trees that was nice to hang out in. Neighbors all seemed nice and kept to themselves, the landlord was extremely nice and helpful which made our stay that much more enjoyable. We enjoyed the restaurants in the area as well!
cute
Landlord very accommodating. Such a awesome guy. I had car troubles and he came to help me. His place was cute and safe. 2 perking spots that was awesome. Everything is literally 15 min from here. Stayed for 3 months and it was a great time
Great Casita
The casita was a great place to live during our time in San Diego. The place is just enough for two people and the area is quiet! That was the best part, going to the outdoor space and just enjoying the night or day. The amenities were great and we felt it was a home. The kitchen was small but manageable. Location was PERFECT! The casita was center located where it was an easy 10 mins away from anywhere. M was an amazing landlord. He was there when we needed him. Him and his wife are so sweet as well.
Cozy home with the yellow door :)
N is an amazing landlord and very accommodating whenever my room mate and I expressed any needs or concerns. This home is beautiful, clean and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. There is a modern and rustic feel to the home. The home also has a few fruit trees in the back that you can pick from as well. There is a large backyard. The location of this home is convenient to other neighborhoods in San Diego (Gaslamp, North Park, etc) and not too far from the freeway. I enjoyed my time there and N was very kind and responsive.
DO NOT RECOMMEND
I do not recommend this property to any traveler! I wish I could rate this 0 stars. I agreed to rent this property for the length of my 3 month travel assignment but was unable to take a tour prior to my stay since I lived in another state, so I was not sure what I was getting myself into. As a woman, I felt that this neighborhood was unsafe, especially when I noticed that the male neighbors were watching me unload my groceries from the car into the property. I informed the property owner that I felt unsafe and he said not feeling safe is not a valid reason to break a lease. I stayed at this property for less than a month and managed to pay over $4000, including the fees to break the lease. This was also after negotiating this to a fair price since he did not want to financially burden me. I understand that there are fees to pay if you break a lease, but i feel that the way this was handled by the property owner was completely unfair and absolutely financially burdened me.
Lovely casita
Absolutely loved staying here for 3 months. The landlord, N, is extremely attentive to every detail and need of the tenant. Loved having washer/dryer, own parking. Very quiet at night for good nights rest. Extremely close to downtown. Less than 15 min drive to Sharp Memorial. Definitely gonna miss living here in San Diego.
