I was very fortunate to have stumbled upon this listing when I took a last minute contract at Lake Isabella last summer. The drive through the canyon (SR 178) is not the easiest to do but it is the quickest route and this location saves you 20min at least in your commute since it is lovated on the far eastern side of Bakersfield. Victor (host) is very approachable and conscientious. I stayed in one of the rooms in the house for 8 months from July until March, and luckily the house is equipped with solar power so dealing with the hot hot hot Bakersfield summers is not a big issue! I made life long friends during my stay at the house (Victor included) and I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay if your travels take you to Bakersfield or lake isabella!

V is the best landlord! He cares about his tenants and it shows. I stayed 6 months and was comfortable the whole time. If ever there was an issue, V took care of it ASAP. My room was equipped with blackout curtains and V keeps the house at a reasonable temperature. I worked both day and night shifts and never had a problem with noise in the house. The house is in a very safe area of Bakersfield with close by shopping and restaurants. I worked at Kern Medical, which is only an eight minute drive from the house.

Great Rental

This is a great rental in a quiet neighborhood. The property is about 9 min from Bakersfield Memorial. The owner is very welcoming, and the place is clean. I work nights and never had any issues sleeping during the day. Overall great find!

Best place to stay!

I have stayed here for a year and a half and have had a fantastic experience. V is very accommodating and truly cares about his tenants. He always makes sure that you're having a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The area is nice, quiet, and approximately 10 mins from Kern Medical which made it very convenient for my work. The house is always kept clean and tidy. There is a enough fridge and cabinet space for everyone. There's central AC and heat which is a plus. Conveniently there is a nice in-unit laundry so that's one less thing to worry about. The room is also very spacious and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and there's even a TV in the room although I rarely used it. Just give V a call if you're evenly remotely interested and he'll work with you to get exactly what you need during your stay. Would definitely stay at this residence again if I'm ever back in town.

Excellent house and landlord

The house is in a new development and a great neighborhood. The house is new, clean, and has a great kitchen. V, the landlord, is extremely welcoming and goes out of his way to make sure you feel "at home." Kitchen has plenty of refrigerator & cub bard space with nice silverware and plates. I rented the room because I am on a clinical rotation at Kern Medical Center - property was very close to the hospital (10min) and made the commute a breeze. The two highlights were definitely the amazing neighborhood and such a good environment to live. Being a student can be extremely stressful and staying at this property was a great refuge from my hectic days. I would recommend this property to anyone.

V was an amazing host! My husband and I rented with him and we honestly felt so at home. He is always very considerate of tenants and asks for feedback which is so nice! We ended getting along so well that we all plan to keep in touch even after our assignment. Definitely rent here if you can!!

Perfect Stay

V was the perfect host! Only medical professionals stay at this property. This new house is in a great location and is very clean. The area is safe with a very nice, big park around the corner. The neighborhood is quiet. Hospitals, shopping centers, grocery stores, and gas stations nearby. I was at this property for 3 months on night shift and the house was quiet during the day so I could sleep. If youre looking for a clean and safe place to stay, then its at Vs house!

V is an amazing host. His home is very welcoming. Being new to the area was difficult, but the house is very comfortable. Communication with Victor is easy. I literally had nothing negative to speak of. If I ever come back to Bakersfield, this would definitely be the place I would like to stay. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. Nice park close by.

Excellent home away from home

I stayed in V**s home for 6 weeks and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. V** is an excellent host and he made me feel comfortable from day one. He put my needs before his own and he treated me like family. I gained a positive experience coupled with a lifelong friendship. My concerns, although there were not many, became his concerns. V** made me a priority. V** is an extrovert and a social butterfly, but not overbearing. He is also respectful and kind. He was very open to suggestions, he respected my views and privacy, and he was available to serve at any given time. I would stay at Victors home again and again! I recommend his place 100%.
