modern & wonderful hospitality

Beautiful property with a great outdoor space and amenities. Modern and updated. The hosts are some of the nicest and most hospitable people weve met. Plenty of room inside with a full bathroom, bed, LR futon, TV, kitchen with full fridge, microwave/convection oven combo, and of course cookware, dishes, & utensils. We loved it here and hated to leave. No fuss and very welcoming!! Would recommend over and over!! The neighborhood is nice and downtown is very cute. If we are back in this area again, this is where we would stay!!

Excellent home away from home!

I stayed here from late December 2021 until early June of 2022 while I worked in Duarte as a travel nurse. The space: It has everything you need. The kitchen especially has every tool you could want for making meals and I was pleased that the microwave is also a convection oven that I used often for roasting chicken, veggies, etc. Everything is very clean, new and modern. The location: Just outside the actual living space is a gorgeous backyard with furniture and a little gym space which was a nice bonus. I was pleasantly surprised at how QUIET the neighborhood is. You hear an occasional dog bark but overall the neighborhood is very peaceful. You are close enough to LA for a day trip to a museum or beach day, etc, but you are also suuuuper close to some cute restaurants and lots of hiking trails in the Angeles National Forest! Really great area! The hosts: M and A were extremely helpful, kind and responsive with even the smallest need (though again, there really wasnt much to need about the place, but for example one time I couldnt find a can opener and A brought one over in like thirty seconds) while being ever mindful and respectful about privacy. The conclusion: Listen, Id like to say that this place is a pile of garbage so no one ever stays here and its open and available to me next time I travel back to the area, haha, but its a pretty great place to stay! 10/10 would recommend!

Small but has everything you need

Unit is small but is good for one person and has everything you need/fully furnished. Unit would be tight with large pets. Owners are a nice couple with a large dog. They were willing to address any concerns I may have. Neighborhood is decent but not great for dog walking as it is very close to the main road and many people leave their dogs out in the front yard during the day, but there is a park within walking distance. Beach is only 40-50 minute drive away but can be more during worst rush hour times. Overall, a nicely furnished unit for it's size and nice owners.
