I had a wonderful time staying with Kathy and Glen in their lovely home. The property was exactly as described, and Kathy added some wonderful personal touches to make me feel comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious and off to the other side of the home, allowing for plenty of privacy. The laundry area is easily accessible, the kitchen well stocked, and there is ample parking. Kathy was an excellent communicator and was very helpful if I had any questions regarding the area. If youre working at Yale, the commute from their home was very easy and less than 15 minutes. I made a few trips back to Ohio and Kathy offered to take me to the local Amtrack station and to the airport, which was very helpful. I highly recommend this space to other guests and would happily stay here again. The only downside is the fact that I was unable to extend my time in New Haven.

Won't find a better home to stay in!

My long-term stay at this home was absolutely incredible. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this home was meticulously cared for and impeccably clean. Every room was spotless, and I felt instantly at ease in such a well-maintained environment. The hosts, "K" and her husband, are warm, generous, and welcoming beyond words. They made me feel right at home from the start, offering me complete privacy with access to laundry and a private bathroom, which was a huge plus. The house is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Even in tough situations, they made sure I had everything I could possibly neednever once did I find myself lacking for anything like laundry detergent, paper plates, or even sodas. It was clear they thought of every little detail to make my stay as comfortable as possible. One of the absolute highlights was the delicious food "K" cooked. She is an incredible cook, and every meal felt like a warm hug. I can't count how many times a great meal was presented to me. Communication with "K" was always a breeze, and I always knew I was treated with the utmost care and love. Both "K" and her husband are incredibly generous and kind-hearted, and they truly went out of their way to ensure my stay was nothing short of perfect. I am so grateful for the hospitality they showed me and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, and welcoming environment. I will be staying in contact with them for a long time coming, due to the genuine relationship we were able to build. Thank you again to "K" and her husband for making my stay so special!

Home Away From Home

I stayed with the K. family while I worked at Yale New Haven Hospital from mid May 2023-May 2024 and count it as both a pleasure and privilege. Mrs. K was helpful and made me feel comfortable from the moment that we first spoke on the phone. She told me about herself and her husband, described the home, and made sure to answer any questions that I had. She was even kind enough to send me several additional pictures of the living space. Once I officially selected the K's home, she was in frequent contact to further ensure that she would have everything that I needed upon my arrival. I felt welcome as soon as I arrived and did not simply feel like a guest. I felt like family. The home is clean, quiet, and had more than the essentials that I needed. Both Mr. and Mrs. K made my comfort a priority throughout my stay and were quick to tend to any potential issues. I could not have asked for a better living experience during my time in CT and can now say that I have family there!

The K (or as I like to call them Momma K and Dad) home is in a beautiful safe neighborhood which is 15 min from yale and 35 min from UConn. They have two beautiful bedrooms for you choose from, but you are given free range to use in anything in the house. The house is always stocked with any supplies, snacks, and drinks. From the very first day I was welcomed with open arms. Momma K took the timeout to personalize my space with my favorite color right out the gate. She keeps the house very tidy and is an exceptional cook. She often prepared lunch/dinner so that I would have food for work or a plate to come home to. They are always willing to go above and beyond for their guest. Not only did Momma K provide me with a ride to and from the train station but also took care of me when I was diagnosed with covid. This has truly been my home away from home. They are now considered family and miss them so much. I can't wait to come back to visit. Stay here!! You won't be sorry.

K's house is only 15 minutes away from Yale and sits it is in a safe area of North Haven. Her house is kept extremely clean, the rental room and private bathroom are tastefully decorated and very well maintained. One wing of the house is pretty much all yours with the laundry room conveniently located right at the bottom of the stairs. K and her husband G are two amazing and great hearted people. They are both very easy going and fun to hang around with. K loves to chat but is also very respectful of your privacy and space. K LOVES to cook and her food is amazing! She packs some delicious and very generous lunchboxes :) You know, I first went to K's looking for a place to rent but what I found was a new family and lifetime friends that I miss every and each day since I left. I more than recommend her place and would most certainly stay there again.

If there was an option for 10 stars, Id give this place 11!! My experience at the Ks home was beyond amazing! From day one, I was welcomed in as a part of their family! Mrs. K cooked shrimp, fish, meatballs, asparagus, spinach, and mashed potatoes when I arrived. And it wasnt just the first day- she cooked and cleaned (pretty much) EVERY SINGLE DAY!! The house was always stocked with enough paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, refreshments, snacks, etc. They even bought personalized towels, comforter sets, and bath supplies for each new guest based off their favorite colors! Anything I needed, the Ks were just a text or phone call away. When the shower needed to be fixed, the Ks took care of it immediately. When some of my family came to visit, the Ks welcomed them with open arms. When I found out my father had a heart attack, the Ks became a shoulder for me to cry on. They went over and beyond with their hospitality & generosity!
