I was a travel nurse at UCSF and Highland and stayed here while doing both contracts and absolutely loved it. The home is perfect for a single traveler. You have your privacy, it's quiet, beautifully crafted and maintained, and filled with beautiful love and ageless charm. The owner and her kids are delightful and great people. It has everything you need to feel at home after work. The home is in a safe and colorful neighborhood a few miles from ocean beach, breathtaking views, and steps away from the magnificent Golden Gate Park. There is also so much to do in the area: Yoga, bars, Loving Hut (Vegan), Sunflower Cafe (Pho), and many other great places to eat. And don't get discouraged with distance, if you re over the hills, the N line runs through the area or even the 43 which is a bus that will take you all the way downtown on Market. If you are eager to see if San Francisco could be home, this home is one of the best choices out there.

I agree with all of the other 5 star reviews. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, beautiful views, and I was able to walk to my assignment at UCSF. I had heard SF had a lot of crime and was a little afraid. Although anything can happen anywhere, this neighborhood is safe. The owner really is one of the kindest people I have met. I felt like family. I have my car but dont use it often because public transportation is so close. Plenty of restaurants and Golden Gate Park only a few blocks away. The house is clean and my room was large. The other tenants renting were all quiet and respectful of each other. Truly a nice place!(I stayed 9/8/24-12/15/24)

All I can say is that the location is perfect! And the people whom I stay with which is the owner, is one of the main reason why I stayed long. Well if you love park, Golden Gate Park is just 10 mins walk from the house. So if you like to do some runs, this is a perfect location to stay. Another thing, if you love to eat there are abundant of restaurants along the whole Avenue. From Asian to Mediterranean Cuisine are available to dine in. Likewise, the place is so warm and comfortable. The kitchen is wide and fully equipped. The bedrooms are also big and comfortable, and there are two bathrooms in the whole house. Most importantly the owner, Mama E who is so loving and caring. Which also by the way, she is a good cook! If Im going to have another contract in the area I will definitely go back and stay again here..

Staying at E's while I was working at UCSF for 3 months was the best decision! I was able to walk to work and take the shuttle to other campuses if needed, or catch the bus to get to the other side of the city. Great spot if you don't have a car or don't want to spend too much on ride share apps. E was flexible with my schedule of working early and coming home late in the evening - it was no problem. Also, coming and going at early and late hours I always felt safe in the neighborhood as a young woman. E is one of the warmest and most generous people I have ever met, it feels like you are home when you stay with her, but she and the other housemates are respectful of your privacy. The rooms are well furnished, comfortable, spacious, and the house is very clean. The kitchen is beautiful and E has everything you need to cook any meal you want. I would have stayed longer if possible with my work, highly recommend staying here if you are looking in the city!

E is the most kind and welcoming host and she made home cook meals to share with her tenants. The house is beautiful, clean, you'll have everything that you will need to be comfortable. The location is perfect, you're walking distance to UCSF to many restaurants, shops and the Golden Gate Park. The bus stops are only one block away and there're free street parking a few block from the house.I highly recommend this place if you're working in the city.

My favorite place Ive stayed in my years of travel nursing. Walkable distance to UCSF, free street parking nearby, large bedroom, comfy bed. And the owner Elena is an absolute gem. She treated me like a member of her family from day one and it felt like a second home. Will miss her and her amazing food!
