Stayed here as a travel healthcare worker with my family, red flags as soon as we moved into the home. It had a weird smell (cat pee) and did not look properly cleaned from the previous tenant as there was dog hair everywhere. When we talked to the owner about it, it was dismissed and not followed up upon. The landscaping was cared for 1 time during our stay, we were walking in knee length weeds the entire time. The surrounding area of the home was not the most safe area of Ventura, I would recommend steering clear if you can, not to mention the home itself is not inhabitable or safe to live in. I started getting respiratory issues as soon as we settled into this home, and could not get over a severe cough, breathing issues, and constant fatigue/sickness. When we were moving out I noticed green/black mold ALL over the main bedroom which I had a backpack lying up against for 1 week it and the mold grew all over it, many personal items were discarded. As a healthcare worker...DONT STAY!

Be Aware MOLD

I held off writing this review but I cannot stop thinking about this stay. Stayed here as a travel nurse couple and as soon as we moved in, I thought the master bedroom smelled musty but I didn't think much of it. After a couple days of rain, noticed mold all over the bedroom walls (master and second bedroom). We had to throw away travel bags and clothes that were touching the walls... moved out as fast as we could and stayed in a hotel until we secured another place to stay. This house is not safe.. it was truly the worst experience as a travel nurse. I started looking into mold and how it's covered up and looked for signs, the paint is bubbling meaning there has been a mold problem for a long time. When I told the owner, she kind of brushed it off and said it was a "ventilation" issue of the house. Said she would send a "cleaner" over to get it off the walls... no girl that needs more than a cleaner's attention. I personally would never stay here.
