Townhouse Retreat with Private Entry

Very comfy basement apartment of a townhouse. Was perfect for what I needed in a place to stay for a month. The owner is very responsive and respectful. The apartment was clean, quiet, and had a great porch area. You can not hear any noise from the highway for being near it. It had everything I needed to live and function comfortably for the time I was there, and the nice walkway through the garden area was a nice plus! Overall an awesome place to stay in a great location around Raleigh.

I recently stayed at this apartment for four months during a transitional time in my life when I needed a safe, well furnished and comfortable place to call home. The area is very pleasant with nicely kept homes, trees and landscaping. The apartment has a walkway leading down to a private screened porch entryway. I especially enjoyed the peaceful view of the trees, greenery and flowers. On the porch, you can hear road noise from the highway but I still found it peaceful and pretended the noise was ocean waves or I put in ear phones and listened to music. Once you are inside the apartment, there is no road noise! The apartment is well furnished and conveniently located. Greenways nearby. The mattress is very comfortable. The "kitchen" space is small but you can easily prepare meals for 1-2 people. The landlord is very accommodating and friendly. Every concern that I had (only a few), we easily came up with a solution that worked for both of us. I highly recommend this property.

Overall, I have no complaints of my stay. The neighborhood is safe. I was close to many amenities. The owner is super nice and responds promptly. In most basement apartments, you do not have access to any temperature control but there is a gas fireplace that will warm up the place quickly. My stay was great.

Lovely, well appointed Townhouse with screen porch. Excellent location just inside the beltline, convenient to all North Hill shopping. J is an excellent host. Very responsive, accommodating and prompt. would highly recommend for anyone looking for temporary furnished housing

Pros: This basement apartment is in a great location to amenities and the area seems very safe. It is large with w/d and full fridge. Landlord is upstairs and other than hearing walking early in the morning she was quiet and respectful. Cons: on moving in the apartment was not cleaned professionally even though I was charged a professional cleaning fee. There were cobwebs and dust and the sofas need fabric cleaned. It is dark- only 2 windows and they are covered by a screen porch and heavy trees. No tenant control of temp- thats upstairs, uses space heaters and fans. We cleaned the space, added several lamps and some slip covers, as well as a foam mattress topper and it was comfortable enough but overpriced.
