Charming Newly Renovated 2 BR/1 BA Apt on Broad St

Okay Stay

Place was nice and looks exactly like the pics. It actually does have a stove now and washer and dryer which is great. The place located near a lot so I didn't really have to travel far for anything. The reason I gave this place 3 stars were due to the noise and property management. This unit is located near the back parking lot and back entrance. All day you will hear the door slam or any noise going on outside. Also it is on the first floor so depending on your upstairs neighbor, you will hear a lot of that too. Not an ideal location for a light sleeper like me. Also, property management was the worse. No directions for check in or check out. She only responded to my messages when it was time to move out and she would rush me to make my decision. She gave me less than 24 hrs on my last contract to make a decision. Any other time you have questions or a problem at the unit, NO response.Wouldn't recommend to other travel professionals.

Great Place to Stay

Essence is a great host and this studio is very centralized to everything. The unit really has everything you could possibly need. Walkable to VCU so ideal for travel nurses. It is right off of East broad so can get noisy with sirens, as expected being so close to hospital. Would definitely stay here again!

Well located, comfortable,

I needed a comfortable and well equipped apartment for a one-month work assignment. J, the landlord, was very responsive and helpful. This place is as described; great location, well designed interior, and has all the necessary equipment for cooking and being at home. Bed was very comfortable, and I did not find the proximity to the street caused any noise issues. I felt safe and secure in the neighborhood. I would certainly return if needed.

I loved this place.

I stayed at this property for several months while working at VCU. It's located downtown in the Arts District. Lots of restaurants & clubs within walking distance. The Pulse bus line was a blessing. It took me directly from the apt to VCU, it's free & quick. The apt building is very modern and well maintained. The apt is adorable with interesting pieces to make the place special. There is a working record player with some good vinyl available,if you have some bring it. A, the building manager, is awesome. She is nice,helpful & readily available. The owner,J and A are very accommodating and will do whatever to make your stay pleasant. It also has easy off street parking and that is a plus downtown. Only downsides are not enough natural light so lights stay on a lot, it is downtown so it can get loud but never from the other tenants in the building, and that washer/dryer combo is not the best, but it works. My friends loved this place and so did I. You can't go wrong here.
