Second stay and still excellent

I stayed at Castillo Cottage for the second time and had another excellent experience. The location is hard to beat—very close to downtown Santa Barbara and State Street, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and the beach. The cottage itself is comfortable, quiet, and well maintained. It has everything needed for a longer stay, including a fully equipped kitchen and an in-unit washer and dryer, which makes daily life much easier. The space is bright and welcoming, and the private outdoor area is a really nice place to relax. The neighborhood feels safe and pleasant, and it’s easy to get around both by car and on foot. Communication with the hosts has always been smooth—they are friendly, responsive, and clearly take great care of the property. Having now stayed here twice, I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located furnished rental in Santa Barbara. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Stay at the Castillo Cottage

The Castillo Cottage is wonderful and my wife and I had an excellent stay in this downtown bungalow. The space is well designed, the light inside the cottage is great, and the parking is adequate making it easy for renters. The yard was kept neat and tidy and there is an excellent storage unit out back. It is a short drive to Cottage Hospital making it ideal for healthcare workers. We were walking distance from the excellent restaurants and shopping downtown, the neighborhood is safe and friendly, and we were truly happy throughout our stay. Karen is a terrific owner and was great with communication. If we return to Santa Barbara we will 10/10 try to rent from Karen again. Thank you K, you have been so hospitable. We loved our time at the Castillo Cottage and 100% endorse this property.

wonderul stay

Our stay was wonderful. The house was adorable, had a backyard, and plenty of backyard space and storage. Its a couple blocks from state street and a ton of restaurants. Theres also an e-bike station right across the way. The landlords were great.. we had zero issues but once the internet went out and they fixed it the next day. Was a great stay- part of the reason we stayed in Santa Barbara so long. Would recommend

Great place for short and long term stays

I highly recommend the Castillo Cottage. Not only the location os great (close to State street, downtown beaches and easy access to bus stops and highway 101), but the house is very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equiped, it has wash and dryer and all the essentials (Kitchenware, Bathware and Linens) are provided. There is a private backyard, and the property is very quiet. Neighborhood is quiet and nice. Landlords are nice and responsive. My husband and I have been coming and going from Santa Barbara for work once a year for the past few years and this was by far the best place we have lived.

Great spot!

This was a great location! Close to cottage, close to the beach and State street (the main street of Santa Barbra). Great for day or night shift w black out curtains in both rooms nice TV. Washer/dryer and dishwasher! Big spacious backyard. Would 100% stay here again. Very nice and responsive landlords!

Great home and location

This cottage is in a perfect location, 5 min drive to Cottage Hospital and walking distance to downtown restaurants, bars and shops. House is fully furnished, anything you think you might need is already there. 2 off street parking spots was amazing, and there was also never any issues finding street parking. Great backyard outdoor space, fenced off and private. Landlords were very responsive and attentive. Highly recommend!
