The bedroom suite is located on the second floor of my historic home, which is restored and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. My home, built in 1902, was once the governor's mansion. I live in the historic Quapaw Quarter of downtown Little Rock. The suite was once the sleeping porch of the home, and spans the entire back of the home overlooking the garden. The suite is furnished with antiques, has a mini fri...

Historic home in the Quapaw Quarter in downtown Little Rock
Great host, great bang for your buck
Miss Ann is an amazing host, and the accommodations are fantastic. This listing is quiet and homely. When I was planning on returning to Little Rock for an extended stay, I went directly to this listing to see if it was available. I'm grateful for the wonderful time I had staying at this residence as a I worked at UAMS. I will continue to look up this listing every time I have to return to Little Rock for an extended stay.
Host with the most!
This property was a gorgeous historic home. The house has beautiful woodwork and the upstairs is HUGE. You have a dining area with a microwave, fridge, coffee makers (regular and keurig), table and couch. One side had a corner desk with plenty of room for me to study and lay out my books. There was also an extra day bed across from the large dresser. I was only a five minute drive from Arkansas Childrens Hospital- so convenient. It was also close to all the things downtown and the a lot of cool restaurants on south main. I highly recommend the pimento burger from The Root Cafe. My favorite part was the home owner- A. She was so kind and let me know about so many local offerings that helped ease the time away from my family. She also makes amazing cranberry muffins and can give you free tours of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.
Charming place
I had an extended stay at A's place and I would 100 percent recommend her place to travelers. She was such a pleasant and friendly host. The house is beautiful with plenty of space upstairs. It is very close to the children's hospital (5 minutes!). A's place is the perfect home away from home! If I'm ever working in Little Rock I'll definitely be looking to book this place!
The Best place to stay!
I was a travel nurse. I worked every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights, 7p-7a. Miss Ann is so sweet and loving. My accommodations were prestige. Always clean and be prepared to give belly rubs to Champ! He is the protector of the house snd he truly loves him some Miss Ann! Both Champ and Miss Ann have just brought a baby brother home for Champ. In fact I am going back one more time to visit both of them and see Miss Ann one more time! I was truly blessed to have found her. I would definitely recommend this place to stay to anyone. Wendy
Property Review: 1821 Gaines St. Little Rock, AR
Extremely nice property and housing in Little Rock's Historical District. Unbelievable amount of space for a rental on the second floor. One big space upstairs with no other renters. One huge open room has the bedroom and study together, which includes the bed, a desk with a chair, and also a daybed. The other room is living area/kitchenette that has a satellite TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a microwave. There is closet space, dressers, and a couch. Plenty of privacy. The house is absolutely beautiful and historical. It is on the Registry. 1902 house with original hardwood floors, fireplaces, 14 foot ceilings downstairs. Huge floor to ceiling windows. Owner is the friendliest person I've met in a long time. Very helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. Has actually taken me on walks through the historical neighborhood with her dog. You won't find a better property owner. Eleven minutes from Baptist Little Rock and even closer to other hospitals. Incredible lodging experience!
