Beautiful Carriage House in Kenwood/Hyde Park - steps to University of Chicago

Beautiful place with fantastic host!

This beautiful coach house in one of the loveliest and safest streets in Hyde Park had everything I needed for my stay and more. It's located at a walking distance from UChicago and its hospital and close to a range of supermarkets, restaurants/coffee places and stores. It has an easy connection to the Loop via bus or Metra as well. The apartment has been equipped and decorated with the utmost care: it is very spacious and has anything you might need, from a tv to a popcorn machine, from a piano to food-safe refrigerator bags. Yet, what makes this place really stand out is its lovely host: she was very thoughtful and communicative, going above and beyond to accommodate her guests. She's close by should anything happen. I cannot recommend this place enough for those visiting the Chicago area: as a visitor coming from Europe, this place and its host made me feel comfortable and safe, while still having a sense of privacy.

Amazing stay!

My fiance are both physical therapists and we're working in Hyde park. It was an easy walk to work. Beautiful location full of amazing houses that were great to walk around the neighborhood to see. Tonya was an incredible host and was available for any needs we have! We would 100% stay again and can't recommend enough to other healthcare professionals traveling in the Chicagoland area!

Warm home in beautiful Hyde Park

This property was my home for a year in 2023/2024 and the absolute best place I lived in during my 5 years in Hyde Park/Chicago. The home is very comfortable, quiet, and secure. It is central to all of the best entertainment and food in Hyde Park and very close to the Metra Electric, which I took to work each day. The place is full of windows and the home is very bright. The landlord is excellent and attentive and the carriage home is very private. If I would have stayed in Chicago, I never would have left this beautiful home!

Beautiful coach house in a beautiful street walking distance univrsity of chicago.On the way to UC you walk by a lloyd-wright house, a cafe an excelent produce store. The host is wonderful and she makes your stay even better. I wholeheartly reccomend this place.

Fantastic and Cozy Apartment for Long Stay

This property is simply fantastic. Its a secure and safe location in a walkable neighborhood. The place is well appointed with a cozy atmosphere perfect for long work assignments in Chicago. It includes and office perfect work from home days. Its complete with every amenity you need at home and close to really good restaurants and retail. The hosts are super friendly and responsive. No street noise and nice neighbors. I will definitely stay again!

Wonderful place to stay!

I stayed at this property for 3 months while working as a student PT at UChicago Med, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was a 30 minute walk to the hospital on the nice days, and a 5 minute drive on the not so nice ones. I never took the bus but I know theres a bus line and bike rentals along the way as well. Parking was a breeze, the neighborhood is beautiful to walk around (especially in the fall!), and you can walk to a couple of shops/restaurants, as well as target and Starbucks. Its also a quick 5ish minute drive to the walking/biking paths along the water. T is an absolutely wonderful and attentive host. She would always make sure I had everything I needed and kept in touch the whole time. The property itself was also great. Very clean, brand new furnishings, and a ton of space and storage. The entrance had double gaits and was located in the back of the property, which was the perfect balance of feeling like I had my own space while still feeling safe!
