SLUMLORD!! NIGHTMARE!! STAY AWAY!!

Left me a fake review saying I wont give a move out date. (LIE). Im moving out early & fell behind on rent a few weeks due to medical emergencies & procedures over the past month that not only drained me physically but financially as well (Ben was informed of these matters). Although I understand that this isn't his problem, this guy had no sympathy and even started retaliating by illegally shutting off utilities (we have small children), texting threats through text, etc. Unit was also FILTHY upon move in, dirty couch (was told it'd be replaced within weeks upon move in but that was a lie) & stained outdated carpets, wash/ drying one load literally takes 3-4 hours total due to poor quality of the outdated machines, shower doors improperly installed & unsafe, heating & ACunit doesn't work properly, the lighting in the unit is extremely dim & burns very hot, I can go on. Unit aside, the owner Ben Barteau is a complete nightmare to deal with & throws temper tantrums like a child.
