Perfect Basement Apartment

This was a perfect basement apartment for my 13 week assignment in Richmond. It was 10 mins from the hospital with a lot of shops/food options nearby. Neighbors within the house and in the neighborhood are quiet and polite. Jim was quick to respond to any issues or questions I had! Only downside to the apartment itself was no washer/dryer. The cooktop took a little getting used to but was perfect for making a quick breakfast or dinner before work. The windows in the bedroom are small and easy to cover for use nightshift folks. The apartment is big so lots of room/storage. I definitely recommend this property!

Solid Spot

This is a solid basement apartment with a nice little backyard in a mostly quiet neighborhood full of single family homes. The neighborhood (Lakeside) is a great place for families and those who want to live away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. That said, it is 5 minutes from Scott's Addition, 10 minutes from The Fan, and 15-20 to get downtown. The neighbors are very nice, although being in the basement, noise from upstairs does exist but it's not overwhelming. Also, no W/D, but there are plenty of laundry options nearby. The owner, J, was great to rent from. He is responsive and quick to schedule maintenance when needed. All-in-all, I recommend this apartment as a great short-term rental.

Location, location, location

Basement rental so you wont be getting windows with views (good for those on night shifts, which I was on) BUT for the rental price and great location its a good space to be in. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Besides being central to everything we were near Bryan Park where we would bike and walk to. J answered our questions in a timely matter and helped when needed. Thank you J for letting us stay every time I got extended.
