Great House, Great Location, Great Landlord
We stayed at Emily’s house in Church Hill for over two months, and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. The home is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a long-term stay. We especially appreciated how quiet both the house and the street were throughout the day and night, which made working from home easy. The internet works great too. We made good use of the parking space in the back, though there was always plenty of street parking available out front as well. Our pup Ellie loved the backyard—especially all the squirrels that kept her entertained! The location is fantastic. We enjoyed walking to nearby parks like Libby Hill, Jefferson, and Chimborazo. There are also some excellent restaurants within walking distance, including Sub Rosa Bakery, Union Market, and Pizza Bones—all of which have dog-friendly patios. We highly recommend Emily’s house and would absolutely stay there again on our next trip to Richmond.
Our favorite place & landlord
This has been the most magical stay. We have been traveling for 8 months & staying in short term rentals & this has been the best experience by far. The neighborhood is perfect - so many restaurants, grocery stores, parks, coffee shops, places to get drinks, exercise, walk and shop. It feels so happy and safe. This home is comfortable, clean and well decorated. It's very spacious for two (or more!) and our pup LOVED the backyard. Last but certainly not least, our host E was incredible every step of the way. She was so flexible with us when we needed to push back our stay due to family events and she let us adjust our dates when life events came up. She is understanding and kind - very personable and also very organized and professional. E made sure we knew the best neighborhood events and places, and was extremely welcoming and warm. It was our pleasure to get to know her and stay in her wonderful home. We will miss this neighborhood, beautiful home, and of course E!!!
Beautiful home!
This home is absolutely beautiful. The beds are comfortable. The light in the upstairs is wonderful. The bathroom was my favorite part- the tub was so amazing to soak in. I love bathrooms with lots of light and this one has just that. Beautifully remodeled. The heat/air was surprisingly efficient which I was worried about since its an old home- but no issues there at all. The landlord, E, is an excellent communicator and was attentive to any needs I had! She really cares about her home, that is evident in how she takes care of it. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are friendly. Theres plenty of great places to eat/drink within walking/biking distance. Great little ice cream shop and a wonderful little yoga studio. The surrounding area is very transitional, just something to be mindful of. I would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful house
Wonderful house and neighborhood. I have been traveling for 3 years as a nurse and this was the best house I rented. I also loved the neighborhood where you could walk to multiple parks, coffee shops and restaurants. It was very nice being there in a fall as well.
