Wonderful long-term stay!
This was a wonderful home for me for nine months after I relocated from Chicago to New Orleans. Renting this furnished house made it possible for me to take my time getting to know the city before committing to a house purchase. I ended up buying a few blocks away! The neighborhood is fantastic; everything I need is only a short walk away. Having two floors made it easy to keep a nice separation between my "at the office" and my "at home" space. The owners were always responsive when I had a question, and the owners' son (aka my landlord) was next door to help with anything that came up...like putting my mail and packages inside when I was out of town. I recommend this house highly to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, furnished house for an extended stay in wonderful Mid City!
You couldn't find a better spot than this
It is hard to imagine a better rental anywhere in New Orleans. A lovely early 20th century house, well maintained, with character and charm; comfortable, homey furnishings and art, which make you feel like a guest in a friend's home rather than a mere tenant; large well-stocked kitchen; nice bathrooms (including one attached to the bedroom that is positively palatial and well-lit); nice lighting, with lots of dimmers (a small touch but much appreciated). And then there's the location: near groceries, pharmacies, excellent restaurants; a block from the streetcar; a short walk to City Park and the La Fitte Greenway. Easy street parking at all times. And top of all that, warm and helpful hosts, who accommodated some unexpected complications in our two month stay with utmost compassion and grace. We loved everything about it and would go back in a heartbeat.
Perfect, homey set-up
I 100% recommend this place. The hosts were lovely, helpful, and kind. It's a large space with a great flow. Everything was set up perfectly and generously. Easy walk to grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Clean and modern while still boasting all the beautiful original details and charm.
Best stay in New Orleans!
This is by far the best rental experience Ive ever had! I have traveled for work all my life and having an amazing home in a great location with PHENOMENAL owners just makes life so much better. The place was clean, cozy and had every single thing I could ever need. T & I were attentive, accommodating and very nice people overall! They put up with all my schedule changes and lease extensions and helped me have the most flawless housing experience Ive ever had. Thank you thank you thank you for letting me call your house a home for 5(!!) months! I cannot wait to be back and hopefully stay with you again!!! Will certainly miss that place! Thank you!!!
Mid City
Place was equipped with an updated kitchen and was not too far from downtown. Plenty of food places and a grocery store nearby. Host was very responsive. I really enjoyed my stay.
