I recommend the room for your stay! Clean and spacious, and the landlord is very attentive. He replaced the washing machine with a new unit as soon as the old one malfunctioned. When I was locked out of my room at late at night, he came almost immediately to help me enter. He replaced the wifi the morning after we told him it was slow. Weekly cleaning maintence alway came so the bathroom and other common spaces were always very clean. Driveway and street parking available and ample. You share a house with other industry professionals, yet in my experience its still quite private due to everyone's different schedules. I overall had a very good experience and would stay again. Good things about the location: -Aldi, starbucks, panera, shoprite within a 5 minute drive (not recommend walking bc it is hilly) -Mostly quiet Things to consider -Just off of Rt 8, so expect traffic during normal traffic times, and more during times of construction -The area is not that walking-friendly

Ansonia, CT

Stayed at this studio for 3 months while on assignment. The place looks exactly as in the pictures... beautiful! I appreciated the private space with own entrance. Private kitchen and bath were a must for me and this place delivered. Angel, the landlord, responded promptly to my requests and was very kind, helpful and friendly. If ever in the area, I would stay here again!

stayed at this place for my travel contract at YNHH. 20 min commute to work was super easy! The landlord was attentive, super easy going and available to help out! House was hugeee! Couldn't even tell there was 4 of us sharing the common areas. Overall, this big house was a good find, got cleaned ever Monday and the landlord was super nice and open to suggestions and requests :)

I stayed at this lovely property for 1 year! The accommodations were great and the landlord was wonderful and friendly and very helpful. I really enjoyed my time there. Very friendly people and I would stay there again if I ever needed a place in Ct.

Spacious stuido basement

The pictures are accurate representation of unit. Very spacious, but not much storage options, there's a small closet for hanging clothes and 2 small nightstands for drawers, but no dresser. Also did not have counter space aside from a small ikea table, however if needed you can access the main kitchen. Lots of lighting for a basement which was nice. The house was quiet, not a ton of noise heard from above, which I was pleasantly surprised about in an old house. Location is good with easy access to the highways. Landlord was responsive to messages and requests.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described in the picture Angel the host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure I had everything I needed. The location was perfect for me only 5 minutes drive to Griffin Hospital with easy access to CVS and Grocery stores . I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay. Ill definitely be back!

Amazing stay

I'm so happy i came across this property! It exceeded my expectations. My room was very spacious and clean when I moved in. The house itself is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. Angel was very responsive to any requests from the tenants. The location was perfect as well. Many local gas stations, cvs, grocery stores, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay!

Stayed at this property for a travel assignment. Room was large and beautiful as shown. House is in a quiet neighborhood but on a main road and can be occasionally noisy. Angel was a great host who is very present and available checking in to ensure the house is running smoothly and that all needs are being met. I had a very pleasant stay at this home! Would return if I find myself in CT for another travel assignment.

Quiet, comfortable living. Close to Bridgeport Hospital. No traffic in the morning and afternoon. Landlord isalways available for his tenants. He is flexible and understanding. Unit has a lit of roomfor storage.

I stayed at this property during my observership at Griffin hospital. It's at a walking distance from the hospital. It is affordable, and has all necessary amenities. The host is proactive and is available whenever there is an issue.

The proprietor exemplified the pinnacle of hospitalitycourteous, affable, and exceptionally diligent in maintaining the property's pristine condition. An additional layer of assurance was provided by a professional cleaning service, further enhancing the living environment's cleanliness and comfort. The surrounding neighborhood was equally impressive, characterized by its picturesque beauty. Proximity to a local park afforded me the opportunity to engage in hiking, enriching my stay with recreational activities. Based on my thoroughly positive experience, I extend my highest recommendation for this accommodation. Should the opportunity arise, I would unequivocally opt to stay here again.

My stay

What truly sets this residence apart is its prime location and the sense of tranquility and safety. The neighborhood is tranquil and peaceful, providing a serene escape after a busy day. The home itself is exceptionally well-maintained, with a dedicated cleaning staff ensuring cleanliness and comfort every week. The landlords approachability, friendliness, and readiness to assist with any concerns only enhance the living experience, making it feel like a home away from home. Having stayed at numerous locations for work assignments, it is rare to find a place that ticks all the boxes of what a travel professional requires.This Victorian home is, without a doubt, my preferred accommodation in Connecticut. Its combination of location, maintenance, and excellent landlord relations makes it a standout. I would not only recommend it highly to fellow professionals but also eagerly request it for future assignments in the area.

Did the job

The pictures of the house online look as pretty as the inside. However, the backyard is filled with kids toys and playsets. The landlord does come over whenever he wants to check on the property. He gives no notice and comes over whenever he wants without informing the tenants. He once came over at 9:30pm with a drill in hand to fix the upstairs, without notice and I was home alone. When I lived there, my roommates and I supplied about 50% of the kitchen wear, as there was very little provided. The kitchen in general needed to be cleaned. There was random stuff in a lot of the cabinets and dog ice cream in the freezer. I moved there in Sept and there were expired items in the fridge from April. We had to ask for weekly housekeeping. 20 minutes from the main New Haven campus. It did the job for the time being, but was stressful at times. Would not stay again due to the landlord coming whenever, which is against the law, but convenient location minus the gunshots sometimes.

Inappropriate landlord

Landlord comes over whenever he wants with no notice. My roomates and I asked for notice several times and he did comply. The police had to be involved twice with the situation which the landlord still did not comply. He came over several times when we were in the shower/ bathroom/ pjs etc. His son also came over a few times with no notice. He advertises weekly housekeeping. I stayed for 3 months and they only came 3 times during that period although he says otherwise. He called me childish and said I was over exaggerating when I called him out on the fact being inappropriate. He would come over at 930 pm to fix the upstairs. All of the tenants mail is in a locked mailbox so no access willingly to your own mail. He sends all his mail to the house as well. Landlord knows all the tenants codes to their rooms and the rooms have no inside lock. Landlord would argue through text when I tried to be respectful. After asking for notice he would say THATS MY NOTICE, such as he was yelling.

I stayed here for my clinical rotations and studied there for my exams. As a medical student, I know it can be stressful to look for housing, in my case, I try to look for safety and cleanliness; this place was better than I expected, very comfortable and it's located in a quiet and safe area. The landlord (A) was always flexible, professional, and responsive. I never had a problem while staying here. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to return to Connecticut.

Remodeled Victorian

This property is perfect for the traveling medical staff. The suite in the basement is all updated, clean and quiet. The laundry is located on the same level so its super convenient! A the landlord is very accommodating and and quick to respond if you have a question or need. I would definately stay here again should I return to CT for another contract!!

Ideal spot for traveler at Griffin or Yale

This home is kept in great condition. The kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathrooms are all updated with modern touches and kept very clean with routine visits from a housekeeper or the landlord himself making sure everything is as it should be. In my months there I had no issues at all at the home. The landlord, A, was always responsive and helpful with anything any of us needed and very easy to work with. The home was comfortable, safe, and the other roommates were also all travel nurses. There is a small market less than a block away which was super convenient for anything small I needed, and Target and ShopRite are also close by. Lots of parks nearby to explore- Indian Wells Waterfall is maybe 15 min away and a must visit- so beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again if I return to CT for another contract. Highly recommend!

Lovely and comfortable

This property could not have felt more like home. It's spacious and gorgeous. The property owner has gone out of his way to make sure this home is well appointed and accommodations are comfortable. You need bring only yourself. Although the home is shared with other medical professionals (owner doesn't live on site), it is never crowded, it never feels crowded and there is much privacy. The location was great for me because of its easy access and is centrally located to many regional locales: I did a lot of sightseeing on my days off. The homeowner is also very responsive to any needs or concerns one may have, he's a good resource and he is very personable. It's a good spot after a hard day of work. Highly recommend.

Amazing stay!

I have to say that I am beyond impressed by As hospitality, availability, and how accommodating he was. A is very responsive and really makes an effort to make you feel comfortable. I personally rented a room and then was able to move into a private studio within a week once it became available. Angel would check in and make sure everything was okay. It was really nice to be able to have my husband and son visit once a week without any issues! I definitely recommend this property owner and location. He was recommended to me and I can see why. Loved my Stay!

This is a great place to stay! I lived here for 6 months and really enjoyed the house and area. 20 mins away from most major hospitals. The house is clean and quiet. And A is quick to address any issues that may arise.

Cozy Home away from home!

Very lovely home! I'm a medical student who stayed here for a month during one of my rotations and the landlord is super friendly and great help should you need it. Individual rooms as well as shared areas are maintained well and kept clean. Did not have an issue while I was there. Neighborhood is also nice and safe! If you are a travel nurse or medical student looking for a place to stay this is the place! Will definitely recommend!.

Loved this house and the space. Separate entrance or enter through main house. Owner was great and responsive if you needed anything. Nice neighborhood. Close to everything. Target, grocery stores, restaurants.

Would recommend

I stayed at this place from April-December 2022. I worked out of Bridgeport Hospital. It was about a 20min drive, wasnt terrible of a drive. I actually stayed in a room on the 2nd floor and an apartment on the 3rd floor later in my stay. The landlord was usually pretty easy to get in contact with if needed. He does live close, so if anything serious happened he would usually come right over to try and fix the issue or get someone who could fix the issue. The house was usually pretty clean unless someone made a mess of some sort, but usually everyone when I was there m tended to clean up. As far as parking, usually 2 people can park in the slot behind the garage and everyone else would park on the street. Unless you want to be awaken or asked to move, I wouldnt suggest parking behind others(unless you know their schedule). Food/grocery stores/ gas/gym are easily all within 10 minutes of the house. It is also pretty close to the interstate. I would definitely stay here again.

Traveling Surgical Tech

Im a traveling Surgical Tech and was working at Yale New Haven and stayed in Ansonia. The house was gorgeous with lots of room!! Landlord definitely makes you feel at home and is there if there ever was a problem. Hes super laid back and easy to get along with. Would definitely stay there again!!!

Clean and quiet

The house was located on a quiet street, great location with tons of restaurants and shopping centers less than 5 minutes away. I rented the private studio in the basement and worked nights and had no problems sleeping during the day, blackout curtains were provided as well. A was very responsive via text or phone and is respectful to his tentants. Definitely had a nice stay while on contract for work, no issues whatsoever.

Loved my space!!

I absolutely fell in love with this space! The home is gorgeous and so welcoming! I enjoyed having my own space with the option of interacting with the other housemates. This was my first travel assignment and I kept extending because I loved my space so much!! Its close to everything and in a great neighborhood! The landlord was very welcoming and helpful! I joined an great gym and did a lot of shopping!! I highly recommend this property!!!!!

This is a very spacious home with plenty of amenities. A does a great job of making sure the tenants are comfortable. It's in a great location for any of the hospitals in the surrounding area with a lot to do around!

Very close to Griffin Hospital

Home is large, spacious, easy to commute from this location. I was stationed at Griffin Hospital, which is a short drive away. Parking is available for 4 vehicles, for the most part it was easy to coordinate with the other women living in the home. The home is a corner lot, the room I rented was the large teal room, plenty of space & privacy in my unit. My unit faced the main road, I am a light sleeper, so the street traffic at night was bothersome. Lots of drag racing and motorcycle traffic. Overall, the location was important for me and this unit worked for what I was looking for. A few things to consider: No dishwasher. Cleaning services were not consistent as promised. Landlord would frequently show up without giving 24/hr notice or consent which was uncomfortable & surprising. He was receptive to complaints & issues. Quick to respond to messages & troubleshoot in a timley manner.

Not an "entire Unit" Not an "apartment"

Pros: The property owner is attentive should something malfunction. He replaced a water heater within 24 hours once we reported the problem. The house was comfortable and we all bonded and created friendships. I am leaving due to the 4th room being rented when it was not originally advertised as 4br/1ba to share. Cons: He will enter the home without prior notification and at times, female occupants would be in a bath towel heading from the bathroom to bedroom and it was uncomfortable for us all. In one instance, he entered the home without notifying any of the occupants to take the outside door camera off and placed it inside to "charge" the video camera, where the camera would still be recording automatically upon sensing movement of the occupants inside the house. Misinformation: NOT "entire unit" or "Apartment" as advertised. It is 4 rooms to one full bathroom AND 2 separate apartments 6 tenants:1 house NO: Weekly Housekeeping Hot Tub Gym Elevator Security Gated Community

Basement Studio Review

I am a travel nurse and had the pleasure of staying at this property for 3 months. I rented the basement studio and absolutely loved it. PLENTY of space, your own bathroom, your own entrance into the basement, and the kitchen worked out perfectly!! The basement is VERY quiet, you dont hear conversations upstairs which I know all of us nurses appreciate because we need our sound sleep! I was worried about it being too dark/gloomy being in a basement but there is so much natural light through 3 windows if you open all 3 blinds during the day. I worked in New Haven and it was a very easy 15-20 minute drive with minimal to no traffic issues! The landlord lives nearby so is always available to respond to any issues or concerns which was very convenient. All in all, I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend this home to anyone traveling! I would definitely come back if I ever happen to be in Connecticut again.
