Exceptional Stay While Working at Yale Felt Like Home

As a traveler in the medical field working at Yale New Haven Hospital, I had the privilege of staying here on and off for nearly two years. The landlord was truly exceptionalattentive, responsive, and made the place feel like home. The apartment was always clean, with regular professional cleanings, and any maintenance issues (which were rare) were handled immediately, often within the hour. Unlike many landlords, she always responded quickly and with care. The location is perfectright by major highways, downtown, and Modern Pizza. Ive stayed in many places during my assignments, and this was by far one of the best experiences. If I ever return to Connecticut, I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend to any traveling professional.

Home away from home

This is the perfect home away from home for travelers. The location is perfect - walking distance to a lot of restaurants. My gym was 5 mins away and my commute to work (YNHH San Raphael) was only 10 mins which was a plus. The home itself is well maintained, clean and quiet. I worked the nightshift and never had an issue sleeping in the days. I also only saw my housemates a total of 5 times during my stay (an introvert's wildest dream). The owner is very nice and attentive, always prompt in responding to questions or needs. Oh and for the quality stay you get, you really can't beat how reasonable the rent is. Highly recommend staying here if you choose New Haven for your next travel assignment!

Mill River House

My stay here was the perfect situation in more ways than one. The location is very close to highways for easy transportation to work as well as within walking distance to some of the best food and coffee joints I've had in the state. My host was incredibly hospitable, welcoming, and trustworthy making my stay enjoyable and worry-free. I would recommend this location if you're in need of a home away from home and looking for a good balance between a quiet space and vibrant neighborhood.

Perfect for my needs

I had the third floor end bedroom. It was very quiet there and always clean. Irma was always very swift with any issues that arose and was great about communicating when things needed to be brought to our attention. There is good free street parking and the building is secured through electronic keypad and the individual rooms had their own keys. There were linens and towels available if you didnt have your own which was great. The laundry in the basement was very handy as well. The second floor has a great full kitchen, I was too busy to use it much but it was available. There are great restaurants within easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this. It was very fairly priced and the landlord was very responsive and helpful at all times.

Home away from home

Ideal location, safe, and cozy. I had the pleasure of staying here during my contract at YNH and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. B, the landlord is extremely warm-hearted and welcoming and made sure you felt at home and was always available to help during my stay. The location is not only 10 minutes away from the hospital but also within walking distance to all of the best restaurants/bars in the city. The neighborhood is quiet and the other tenants are extremely respectful of everyones space. I was so sad to leave when my contract ended because it was such a pleasant stay. I highly recommend staying here during your stay in YNH. Id definitely do it over again!

Best place to stay around here

This is a lovely portion of a house sectioned off for travel nurses. The owner was extremely accommodating and responsive to my needs throughout my stay there. The house has everything you need at a very fair price. Would highly recommend.

Very tidy and lovely room equipped with everything you need. Great host and there when you need her. The communication was super easy and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The neighborhood is very convenient. Perfect location, walking distance to public transportation, train station, and restaurants. Loved my stay. Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

Perfect accommodation

Amazing accommodation with just the perfect location, really nice and quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the bus stop, restaurants, coffee shops and grocery store. The train station and the downtown area is a very ahort drive away as well! The property owner is also very accommodating and responsive. I would love to stay here again next time!

Great place

Great place for professionals to rest up and recoup while not at work. There is housekeeping service. Modern kitchen, but you will need to bring your own pans for cooking. Washer and dryer which I had no issue with bumping into other people using when I needed it. Good location a few restaurants and shops around the area. Next to the highway, but for me the noise was very manageable. The land lady, was very accommodating and pleasant.

Great Experience

The place is very cute, cozy and in a nice area of New Haven. You can walk to some restaurants. The owner is very nice and helpful. No issues parking even with snow. All the rooms have their own lock which is nice when living with strangers. The drive to YNHH less then 10 minutes. Its a solid place to stay.
