Apartment in Tacoma, Washington
Landlord Tenure: 4 years, 6 months
This studio is a lovely respite in a quiet historic neighborhood 3 blocks from the beautiful University of Puget Sound campus. It's ideally located 1-2 miles from 5 major hospitals in Tacoma. A private path along the side of the home leads to a brick patio and garden just outside the studio entry. Freshly remodeled, the daylight basement apartment offers a modern sensibility with layered textiles, polished concrete floors, and ...
Very cozy studio with couch that converts to full size bed for an occasional guest. Conveniently located in beautiful neighborhood ideal for walking.
Located in one of the most desirable and historic areas in Tacoma.
cozy with amazing hosts
This is a great studio. It was very close to the hospital I worked. I loved the walkability to shops, restaurants, cute coffee shops, and the college. It was very comfortable, well lit, and was perfectly designed to accommodate long term stays. George and Monika are so kind and caring. They will give you privacy but love to get to know you also. They want you to be comfortable and will take steps to make sure you are. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly and I really enjoyed walking around it. It is also close to the water. I loved walking Point Ruston. This suite was a perfect stop for me during my travel assignment and a homey place to come relax after a long shift.
Clean, comfy, convenient & charming
I loved living in this well thought-out space. It's in a cute and safe feeling neighborhood that is within a short walk (or drive) of many good restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and stores. It was an easy commute to the 4 hospitals I covered, and street parking was always easy and available. The bed and pull out sofa are both very comfortable. The wifi was fast, and it was easy to watch your shows from bed or the couch. The shower has great water pressure. With the mini fridge and the full size fridge, there's plenty of room for all your drinks and food. It gets great light and really doesn't feel like a basement apartment. I loved sitting outside in my little backyard reading nook. G & M are such lovely, kind, and fun humans. They truly respect your privacy and your space and try to minimize noise from above. If I'm ever back working in Tacoma, I will absolutely try to stay here again.
Great place to stay
This property is very convenient to hospitals, shopping restaurants and all you need for an extended stay. The Studio is very clean, modern and cozy as well. It does not feel like a basement, so that should be of no concern. I was very comfortable here and enjoyed my stay. M and G are great hosts, friendly thoughtful and very respectful of privacy. They have considered everything needed for an extended stay, I was very pleased with my accommodations and highly recommend this property Thank you G
Great place to stay!
Love this little studio! M and G are so lovely as well. They were so accommodating and welcoming. Don't be put off by the basement. It is well lit and has a full window. Highly recommend!
Wonderful hosts!
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and staying with these gracious hosts! They truly are dedicated to helping travel nurses and their community. They gave me privacy and a listening ear whenever I needed it. I not only had a warm welcoming environment from my long shifts but also gained friends from my travels. M and G are good people to say the least. Miss them!
Great Location, Wonderful Hosts
Staying with M and G was wonderful! It was a basement studio but had a lot of natural light and the furnishing and interior was very updated and modern. I love how well thought out the logistics of the room is, the TV was able to be adjusted to watch from the bed and couch (which became a bed if needed). The bed and pillows were very comfortable and extra linens were provided. They provided toiletries and snacks to use that was quite nice. There is no kitchen only a convection oven and microwave to use, but if you eat out as much as me there's no need for a stove. There were 2 fridges that I could utilize and kitchen utensils. Overall, very accommodating and great communication from the hosts.
A most excellent stay...the journey of a nurse in Covid-19.
In a time where one of the most trusted professions became one of the most feared... I have been an emergency department nurse for quite some time and we walk in a standard that holds us to a higher accounting which makes us one of the most trusted professions. In the season, Covid-19, also made us one of the most feared professions to be in proximity of, I was blessed to land here. When you come to stay at this artisan studio, you will not find a more supportive landlord, though strict precautions were taken at the time. I was mindful of the potential of unknown exposure which is now tempered. The landlords went out of their way to tend to this nurse, even at a distance due to Covid-19. From flowers in the foyer to warm messages; every now and then a meal. Upon my time to return to the Southwest, I have to tell you, it was a hard experience to walk away from, the locale is central to most every need of a nurse. A nurse's respite while traveling to be sure.
Great Stay!
I had a great stay here! The location was perfect, the studio was spacious, and equipped with everything I needed. Easy check in, private entrance, clean, cozy & free parking. Good for a short-term or long-term stay. The neighborhood is also safe and quiet. Hosts were very accommodating as well. 10/10 would recommend!
