Basement Apt

To say that my pups and I enjoyed our 6-month stay is an understatement. This basement apartment is a renovated space and furnished with everything you need for an extended stay. Also, ideally located - next to Patterson Park, minutes from the dog park, and within walking distance from a variety of restaurants. There is also a rooftop patio for shared use. Parking was never an issue. The highlight of our stay was not location, parking, or amenities but the wonderful hospitality of the owners, J and H. They are warm and communicative but best of all, truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome to the neighborhood. Thank you for inviting a non-Baltimorian into your fold and making our stay an enjoyable one!

Lovely place to call home

The apartment is beatifuly furnished throughout, with everything you could need for an extended stay. J and H (the owners) are incredibly friendly and really make me feel at home, its nice to rent from people who genuinely care about there tennants and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay! The apartment is set it a great location (opposite the lovely patterson park) for getting outside in the fresh air and within easy reach of all sorts of events and activites throughout the year. Commuting from here was a breeze too, with easy access to I95 and the beltway to get further afield. There's also and airbnb in the same building which is great for having guests visit. It was a real pleasure to stay, and I hope to be back soon!

Great Place!!!

I rented the garden apartment while I was on assignment at Johns Hopkins and the apartment was perfect for what I needed. I loved being right across the street from the Patterson Park and spent a lot of time there with my dogs. I have two dogs and both had plenty of room in the apartment. With the park right across the street my pups always had plenty of green space to get their energy out. Patterson Park also has a dog park, which is just minutes away from the garden apartment and I went the multiple times a week with my pups. I made many friends at the dog park, as did my pups. I really enjoyed my daily walks around the park and always felt safe in the neighborhood. I am a night shift nurse so it was never unusual for me to take my dogs for a quick walk in the middle of the night, the street is very well lit and even at 2, 3, 4, o'clock in the morning I always felt safe walking my dogs up and down the block. Jimmy was always responsive if I needed anything.

Cozy Park Side Oasis - walking distance to all you need!

This basement apartment was perfect place to live and relax while commuting to Johns Hopkins main campus for work. I was able to walk to work in less than 30 minutes or bike to work in 8 mins - I also have a car and never had an issue finding a place to park. The area is safe and the neighbors and local community is very friendly, with fun community events always happening. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and grocery stores is also a huge plus! The living space is cozy and provides an oasis to relax in when not enjoying walks in the park across the street. The space is outfitted with all that you need and the owners are very responsive to any needs you may have during your stay. I cannot recommend the space enough and if ever in Baltimore again for work, I will definitely try to book this apartment!

My husband and I are travel nurses and had the pleasure of staying in Baltimore for 3 months for work. We rented a basement apartment from J and were very pleased with the accommodations. J was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had throughout our stay. We were definitely sad to leave Baltimore, its artsy quirks, food scene, and diversity became some of our favorite things about the city. Charm city has a special place in our hearts. -M L, 2022

Would rent again!

I enjoyed all that this spacious apartment had to offer and more! J and H did a wonderful job at renovating this apartment so it felt newer compared to the other surrounding outdated apartments/homes. Working with them was a breeze and they're good people. This place is in a great location, especially if you like to take a stroll in the park or play sports. The parking pad is conveniently located near the rear access and it was also nice to have the front door access. The mattress looked and felt new, very comfy. Loved the bathroom. The rooftop was a nice feature and a getaway oasis that not many places have. Hands down would come back!
