First off, I'd like to suggest that you do not fall for this landlord's Christian act. Her behavior toward me was far from what you'd expect from someone professing to serve God. The first issue with this landlord occurred when I realized I had paid her from the wrong account, which zeroed out the balance of that account. She went back and forth with me, stating she would not refund the payment so that I could pay her from the intended account. No matter how much I assured her I was not trying to take anything away from her. And that I would make the payment from the intended account on the same day she authorized the refund on the cash app, she still refused to authorize the payment reversal. The second issue with this landlord was that her basement had mold and mildew. The stench of both required me to purchase an air purifier to be able to stay in her rental. Her mattress cover and pillows were stained. The pillows had the odor of sweaty heads, probably because they had not been replaced or sanitized at any point. In addition to the dirty, unsanitized items, the sitting area chairs had dust and crumbs in the seams. I purchased sleeping bags to drape over the chairs and bed in order not to come in direct contact with the items. I also had to purchase linens and blankets because the landlord's linens and towels smelled horrible. Though she claimed the place had been cleaned, I had to scrub the tub and remove old, dirty, worn-out, discolored plastic sink and tub strainers before using the tub. The landlord's cookware is not fit to be set outside for animals to use. At some point, there was a smell of sewage in the basement. When I brought it to her attention, she mentioned having to pour water into a pipe that was located in a locked closet in the basement. That action never occurred. Several times, the landlord and I were there at the same time, allowing her to pour the water wherever she needed. Instead, what I witnessed was her leaving, dressed as if going clubbing. The third issue with this landlord was that, after parking in her garage, my car had the smell of rat urine that came through the air vents. I had the engine cleaned at the dealership. I stopped parking in the garage at that point. The fourth issue with this landlord was that I paid her a $300.00 deposit in addition to a full month's rent totaling $1500.00. But only stayed in her place for two weeks. My current landlord prorated the rent and did not charge a deposit. The new place is a brand new home with a brand new basement apartment. With several operable windows. Shon's place was cleaner when I left than when I moved in. To date, the owner of this property has not returned any portion of the money paid. I left her place early to begin a new contract in a different state after experiencing contract conflicts with the facility in Kansas. This landlord was made aware of the need to vacate her property but yet has not refunded any portion of the payment or deposit. To sum it all up. Her home is older, there is mold in the basement, it is without windows to open or experience sunlight, and has openings that allow pollen into the living space. I spent money to be able to tolerate staying in her place as long as I did. Basically, this place was more of a dungeon than a living space. And the landlord is dishonest and keeps money not owed to her. The landlord is mouthy and very aggressive with her communication. For all professionals considering leasing this place, don't.

This is a wonderful apartment, everything you need for your home away from home. Host is very accommodating and willing to help you with anything you may need!!

Great stay

Had a awesome stay in K's place. It was very cozy and private. She was also available when I needed something. Lastly the price is very reasonable and comes with own parking spot. Would definitely stay again if I were to travel here for another job.
