Most enjoyable stay

I book a 3 month stay at this property during the winter months and it's been most enjoyable. The apartment is very clean and well equipped that includes a washer and dryer. The neighborhood is very quite and neighbors are very friendly. The parking is not an issue as was mentioned in a prior review nor was the shower. You are given an assigned space and the owner Bradford even mentioned access to the driveway if needed. The owners are totally awesome and accommodating . Definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Rutland. Also close to downtown restaurants and shopping. I will definitely be coming back.

Friendly owners and nice apartment

The owners have been very accommodating and friendly from start to finish and I have nothing bad to say about them or the apartment itself. The angry reviewer complaining about parking is entirely misinformed. There is a large driveway in which several vehicles can park as well as 3 spots in front of the house on the side of the street, the street-side parking is completely unaffected by the city plow schedule. The owner has a private plow come clear the driveway and will plan this for when you are out or can move your vehicle. We loved that the apartment is dog friendly and has a yard with some space for dogs to play. The apt had everything we needed to be comfortable for the winter. When we noticed a problem with the bathroom fixtures draining, the owner had a plumber come out and replace pipes in the basement without any delay. All communication with the owner has been consistent, honest, and downright pleasant!

Dishonest Owner

Owner never disclosed the Winter parking ban for Rutland, which is in effect from December 1 to March 31 from 12am to 6am every night. He made me park on the street and lied to me, stating the street in front of his house was exempt. I called the police to verify and they told me the owner was lying. My lease stated I would have an assigned parking spot on the property. Instead of providing me my assigned parking, he said he would keep my security deposit of $1700 if I left. I had no choice but to leave so my car wouldn't get towed. Once I was packing to leave, he then said he could provide me a space in the driveway. They had a couple living in their van in the driveway. The owner lives upstairs and randomly has band practice, which is so loud and heard throught the other apartments. If looking for a quiet place, skip this property. Walls and ceilings are stained, open and drafty old floor vents, where any heat escapes. Shower is disgusting. Rent at your own risk.

Cozy Home Away From Home

Boyfriend and I stayed here from Jan22 through April22 while on contract in Middlebury and it was great. Homeowner is friendly and courteous. His dog is super sweet and fluffy! Communication was excellent. Neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are all friendly as well. We would absolutely stay here again!
