Perfect space!

I had the pleasure of renting this fabulous basement apartment from for the last year. Shelly was so accommodating as a landlord every time my contract got extended. The unit is tastefully furnished with everything to make it feel like home. I was able to walk 20 minutes to work at VHC hospital. And walk 5-10 minutes to restaurants, the gym, metro stops, and grocery stores. Shelly was also very responsive to any messages sent. I hope to rent again whenever a contract opens back up! Would highly recommend this rental!

Perfect!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for the summer of 2025. It was everything we needed: Clean and updated, free parking, walking distance to most things (including the metro), quiet, W/D, and we had our own AC controls. I would recommend this property and Shelly anytime. Shelly was a wonderful landlord and Im very happy that I found this listing.

The Perfect Space!

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here! The space is very large and light-filled and didn't make it feel like a typical basement apartment. It has everything you need for a short-term stay. The private use of the washer/dryer was a huge plus! The apartment is perfectly located on a quiet street, but is a very short walk from Ballston Quarter with all kinds of restaurants and shopping which was super convenient. S is super accommodating and really made this a super cozy space! I wouldn't recommend this for night-shifters because the two dogs upstairs can be a little noisy during the day, but I worked day shift and are used to be around dogs and it really didn't bother us when we were home during the day - S did let us know this before we rented and was also really good about bringing the dogs to her upstairs after 10PM. I would absolutely stay here again!

Tastefully decorated home away from home

Everything about this apartment couldn't be better represented than the pictures and description provided. I found this apartment very comfortable and had everything I needed to feel at home for several months on a healthcare assignment. Does not feel like you are renting your typical basement apartment, as you have plenty of natural light with a multi glass panel private entrance and larger than normal windows for a basement. It is tastefully decorated (even impressing an interior designer who visited during my stay), the bed is comfortable, shower and tub are perfect and the location is ideal for anyone interested in exploring the Ballston area - plenty of restaurants and other conveniences literally a couple blocks away. Walking trails galore right down the street. Getting into DC is a breeze from this apartment; the metro is a short 10-15 min walk. If you are commuting to Inova Alexandria, you will find it is an easy drive at less than 20 minutes at rush hour. Perfect stay!
