I absolutely love Tessies home. She rescued me last winter after my first rental place imploded with a crazy woman. I had the most wonderful peaceful time up on the hill. I cant wait to be back in a month from now! Tessie is very helpful and responsive.

My stay here was average, i really didnt have any troubles with the landlord. If i had any issues we communicated and she solved it immediately! As far as the cameras outside the home, that doesnt bother me, i was never questioned about coming or going at late hours of the night. Tessie is a great landlord and very understanding id you just communicate your issues to her.

The landlord is an absolute bugaboo! She wants to know everything about you and your life. I stayed there for my 13 week assignment and on multiple occasions she called my agency and lied to them. They had to block her number because she wouldn't stop calling asking unnecessary questions about myself and coworkers who stayed there. She monitors cameras around the property and comes by with her husband to do work without notice. She has it posted as a no smoking property but I've personally seen and smell multiple people smoking in their rooms and she says nothing. She charges a cleaning fee and doesn't clean but will text you about unnecessary things whenever she sees fit. She told me things about my roommates accusing one lady who has children on the property of being an alcoholic because she went through trash and saw liquor bottles. She held my deposit for over a month stating that her account was hacked but then she went on vacation and said she would pay after.

Be cautious

I resided in the top house and it was beautiful inside. However, the landlord made the stay VERY uncomfortable for me. She constantly monitored us on her cameras day and night. She micromanaged everything done inside of the home and was very unprofessional when it came to her tenants. She would discuss personal information of other tenants with the other tenants in the other home. Also if you don't respond to her texts in a timely" matter she will hit you with the I know you read my message". The day of move out I expected my deposit that same day however she held on to mine for multiple days with ZERO communication as well as other tenants i've lived with. Please be aware of this home if you don't like being watched 24/7.

TEREIBLE

I was suppose to stay here but last minute couldn't for medical reasons!. By Hawaii law you have to give someone their deposit back if there isn't any written agreement. She kept trying to manipulate me thinking it's my fault when multiple times I told her to give up the room and repeatedly she kept saying no! She has Refunded people their deposit but refuses to give me mine back! Ive tried being really nice but she is very greedy doesn't care and just wants money! She doesn't care about Healthcare Workers at all! She charges an arm and a leg on top of other fees. She doesn't care about the laws! Don't do what I did wait till you get to Hawaii to pay someone rent and a deposit! Looks are deceiving! Just because this place is nice doesn't mean the LANDLORD IS! BEWARE OF THIS LANDLORD! Also if you don't want your own privacy this is the place for you!
