Great place to stay in Silver Spring
We just finished a 6-week stay in the main-level (upstairs) unit, loved it, and are already making arrangements to come back. This is a lovely little house on a quiet street, very well set up, with everything we needed. The host was responsive and eager to make sure we were comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the electronic lock works well, we appreciate having off-street parking. The downstairs unit was occupied while we were there but we never heard a peep from the other tenant. We used the front bedroom, which has a dresser; the bed frame in that room is pretty noisy and creaky, but the mattress is comfortable and the available linens are good quality. The washer and dryer are new and work well. We've stayed in a lot of short-term rentals while visiting family in this area, and this is definitely one of the ones we've liked the best. Highly recommended.
Cozy, clean basement apartment
I really appreciated that the host was responsive and communicative. This basement apartment had two decent sized bedrooms with closets, a full kitchen, and bathroom. The open kitchen, dining, living room was cozy and enough space for two of us. The upstairs tenants were quiet. The off street parking and nice private back yard were a bonus. The neighborhood is busy but very safe and walkable. We didn't hear street noise downstairs unless it was sirens from an emergency vehicle. It would have been nice to have outdoor furniture, but I bought a chair to sit outside. The w/d is a combo and takes about 6 hours to wash/dry a load, which took some getting used to. The kitchen lacked some basics and the host was notified of these. Otherwise we were able to cook our meals. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
