Comfort, Prime Location, and Excellent Host Communication

I had a great experience! It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was fantastic as it was close to my work but also easy access to freeways for travel. It's walking distance to some great restaurants and bars. There is a park down the street where I would go walking most mornings. The host had excellent communication and quickly resolved any issue that came up. I would highly recommend staying here.

I recommend staying at The Oak! It had everything we needed to be comfortable. Mercedes was always very helpful and wanted to ensure we had a good experience. On multiple occasions, she went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. It's in a good part of Houston and was very close to everything! I always felt safe while staying here.

The owners were so helpful for our stay! Our coffee maker didn't work and they ordered another right away and had it sent to us! The unit was very clean and up to date. Perfect place to stay. If we ever had to travel back we would definitely stay again!

This place was such a cute and quiet little area. Quiet and safe it was the perfect place for a travel nurse. Thank you to the host they were very responsive and accommodating.

Perfect & Comfortable Space

This place was the PERFECT spot for my girlfriend and I. The living room has a lot of natural light and is a very comfortable place to relax and unwind. Both bedrooms have very comfortable beds. The A/C cooled the house very well (even in a record heat summer). The location was also very nice and low key, but close to lots of things in midtown, Houston (our favorite was Retrospect Coffee Bar walking distance from the unit). Lastly, it had very convenient access to the freeways, which made getting to work very easy for the both of us. If youre in need of a furnished, safe place in a great location, I HIGHLY recommend renting this unit. Mercedes provides a great space and is also very responsive.

Perfect Fit

This apartment has everything you need to create a temporary home. The beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. At the same time, the location is a short walk to restaurants and the rail. This cuts down on parking needs in the Medical Center and downtown. If you enjoy the beauties of an older home, this is your place. It has high ceilings, original oak floors, the thick molding around the doors and windows and details on the doors. As with older homes, bathrooms tend to be smaller yet the amenities are not compromised. There is a half bath that is large enough to do anything needed and the full bath has a bathtub-shower combo that is plenty spacious. The updated kitchen is modern yet transitions nicely into the original beauty of the space. The internet is fast and if work is needed from home you will have no problems with video calls. The owner was prompt with responding to request/questions. The property is well maintained and the owner communicated when routine maintenance needed to be done to ensure it was ok for it to be done and to coordinate a day/time that works well. In addition, the owner showed kindness for some circumstances that came up and worked with us when we needed to change our request for extension options.

Do Not Recommend

I will start with the only 2 positives that I can muster. The location was great and the unit was only about 10 mins from the hospital where I worked. The kitchen appliances were nice and I enjoyed using them. Furthermore, from day one of staying in this unit I was miserable. I dealt with roaches and ants on multiple occasions. The shower is very small and the shower head needs replacing. Contractors came on the property often and I was never forewarned.The dryer stopped working one day and that created a horrible experience for me with the landlord. Anytime an issue was brought up to the landlord she addressed it as it was my problem and not hers or brushed it off. She was not pleasant to deal with at all. My recommendation is to proceed with caution if you decide to stay at this location.

I really enjoyed staying here at this townhome. The location is so perfect, it is next to literally everything! I love being within walking distance to so many places, and also close to downtown. The townhome has everything you'll need and was clean upon arrival. The landlord is amazing and was always available and on top of things when needed. Overall loved my time spent living here for a few months, I would recommend to anybody!
