Excellent experience!
My wife, dog, and I stayed here while learning the area and looking for a home to purchase. Originally we planned to stay for a few months, but we enjoyed living here so much that we weren't in a rush to move and stayed almost a year. The apartment is great and feels very spacious with the high ceilings. It gets a lot of sunlight from the doors and windows off of the patio. We both work from home and had no issues with comfort or internet access. The apartment is very quiet and you can't really hear any noises from outside or upstairs. The lot is quiet and feels wooded and secluded. All of the neighbors we have met have been very friendly. The location is perfect and has easy access to downtown and the outdoors. Hunter is an excellent host and has become a friend. I've only lived in large, faceless, corporately owned apartments before here, and it was so nice to have Hunter be available, communicative, and always helpful with recommendations and advice.

Hunters basement apartment was perfect for my short stay of about 3 months. Our dog got along great with Hunter and his dog. Plenty of space in the apartment with high ceilings. Comes with everything you need. Great location close to downtown and walking distance to Beaver Lake. Hunter was a great and attentive landlord. Would rent from Hunter again!
It was great!
Hunters basement apartment was perfect for our needs in every way. My husband had health issues which temporarily limited his mobility and not only did this great space allow him access, the bathroom was easily accessible as well. Plus the layout of the apartment was just great and felt very open, additionally enhanced by high ceilings and southern exposure through the windows. Closets and shelving are plentiful. We brought our aging dog and our cat and I was able to use a storage closet to house her kitty litter as well as pet food a dour suitcases. Hunter is a super landlord who was immediately responsive to any questions or needs. The outside patio is also great. Close to Beaver Lake, UNC-Asheville, the Botanical Gardens, great restaurants and downtown Asheville, it is the perfect location.
Great stay
My wife and I stayed here with our 2 dogs and I have zero complaints about our stay. I worked nights at a local hospital and she worked from home. Our dogs got along great with the owner and his roommates, as well as his dog. Would rent again if we ever come back to the area. Consider staying here if you ever come through Asheville for an extended period of time.
Better than the pictures!
With its large rooms and high ceilings, this spacious apartment never felt like a basement to me. I stayed here with my partner and our two corgis in the Fall. The apartment is conveniently located (only a ten minute drive to Mission working nights). The area is walkable and felt safe, Beaver Lake was a great place to walk our dogs. We had plenty of privacy, and even our own little patio. The apartment is clean, with a well stocked kitchen, and new appliances in good working condition. H is friendly and laidback as are the other tenants who live upstairs. We would rent this space again!
