Housing review

Extended here for almost a year, extremely convenient location if you're working at BMC. Close to bus transport options for other hospitals or bus transport to the train, otherwise it's about a 20 minute walk to the nearest train station. Street parking was doable right nearby if you need it. Quick Uber ride if you are looking to go downtown/Southie/Seaport, the airport etc. and don't want to find parking. Large apartment, nice to have a half bath off the kitchen and the bedroom is very quiet and felt safe. I would consider furnishings minimal but comfortable and well kept. Landlord is very responsive, neighbors were friendly enough. Walking distance to a couple gyms, restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and Target is a 10 minute drive and located in a small shopping center. Took about 15 minutes to drive to Carson Beach. Neighborhood isn't the most walkable but convenient enough that it's a good place to stay and I would recommend/stay again.

Review

This apt is really spacious, 1.5 bath which is really rare for a one bedroom in Boston. Theres a dining area also but didnt have furniture when I was there, there may be now. Also has a nice backyard and tons of street parking right on the main street around the corner. The bus station is less than a 10 min walk which is convenient. The area can be a little sketchy so good to be careful (which you should be no matter where you are.) I always felt safe though and the neighbors really look out for each other. Theres no laundry but laundromats around. I wouldnt go to the one on the corner. Theres a nice one in JP and Southie. Tropical foods grocery store is the best. Super fresh and affordable. The landlord F is so so nice, fast communicator, really looked out for me and made sure I always had what I needed which I so appreciated. Def a good spot to stay and has lots of pros.
