I enjoyed my stay. S was an amazing host. She was very responsive and attentive to my needs. An amazing host and extremely helpful. The place was clean and huge. It is very comvenient, and includes a kitchen with everything you need. I will definitely choose the place again.

Comfortable and easy

This little basement apartment with a fully separate entrance is super easy commuting to LIJ. I stayed for 5 months. Much bigger than it seems, it had all the basics, including a full sized refrigerator. AC window unit in the bedroom, portable AC in the living room. Allowed short term , respectful visitors. The family was incredibly kind- when my husband and son visited, they made us cupcakes! Street parking on a quiet one way street. Short drive to services (grocery, gyms, etc). Short Uber ride to LIRR (no real parking for visitors at the station). Quick internet, TV equipped with streaming services. One thing to note- probably not appropriate for night shifters, as the family has kiddos that play outside, but they were generally quiet, living upstairs. If I go back to LIJ, I plan to stay here again.

Accommodating & Friendly

S and her family are very accommodating and friendly. The space is huge for 1 person to stay in and have all the things you need. If there is anything else that you need though, the owner is very quick to make sure you get it. Very close to Target for groceries and the laundromat. Everything is private so you have your can enjoy your own space. I am currently an RN at Northwell University Hospital and almost ending my contract. If I extended my contract at that hospital, I would have definitely stayed here longer.
