RENTER BEWARE - UNPLEASANT STAY - February 2026
The Villages is an amazing place to visit, lots of variety in music, restaurants and things to do. You will not be disappointed.... When it comes to renting a property, please do your homework. Golf cart was included in lease but it never worked. We complained, she picked it up but never returned The heating system broke down and then the A/C stopped working. The house needs a whole lot of love and attention to detail. Other issues...... Leaking Keurig coffee machine Mold growing in the coffee can....Dishwasher that did not clean dishes....Leaking faucet which sprayed all over counter .....Broken Heating system ...... We slept in our clothes and woke up to a house of 54 degrees. BRRRRR.....Heat was fixed but then the A/C stopped working. We couldn't win.....Dining room chairs had screws hanging out and not safe to sit on. Poor lights in house with burnt out bulbs. Smoke detectors started beeping in the night. Biggest issue was that the included golf cart never worked. SAD.
