Dog friendliest- Private 1 Bedroom Basement Apartment

This is one of the best places I have lived after traveling for 5+ years. The landlords are extremely friendly and helpful. If anything needed fixed, or even if I needed cold medicine from the store, they were available and quick to offer help. They have a fully fenced in side yard which is perfect for a dog. They were even willing to let him out during the day if it was too cold/rainy to leave him out while at work. I never had any issues with privacy or boundaries, and they made me feel at home. The property itself has everything you could look for in an apartment. Lots of storage space for backpacking gear, huge bed, walk in closet, and plenty of cooking things. They let me use their grill/firepit whenever needed too. Overall, I cannot recommend Marta and Marty enough, and would gladly come back to stay if I ever took another contract back in Portland. This apartment was the perfect cozy retreat during our time in Oregonespecially on those classic rainy days. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished, with tons of storage space that made settling in super easy. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, always friendly and respectful of our space. If youre lucky, you might even get some fresh eggs from their chickensjust one of the sweet touches that made this place feel like home. It was genuinely hard to leave when our work contract ended. This wasnt just a place to stayit became a comforting, peaceful haven during our time here. Wed absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and well-loved spot with kindhearted hosts.
