Absolutely wonderful!

I was working in Seattle temporarily until my family and I could figure out what was coming next. I chose this property because it had good reviews, and now I get to be one of the those reviews. Baine is great. He takes a lot of pride in his house and also providing a great atmosphere for his guests. He is kind, engaging but will also will give you space if you want it. He often has previous guests stop back by that you can meet and interact with. You can sing karaoke or just watch others sing (my personal favorite). The neighborhood is very safe and walking distance to the Marina. If you are looking for a temporary place to stay while on business, I would highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!

More than a Home

Baine helped me feel at home the moment I moved in. Its a beautiful, safe place and the environment was always comfortable and inviting to say the least. I also loved the quiet neighborhood with walkable access to the beach, marina, and creek trail that I took advantage of daily. This was the perfect space for me at the time and Im sad to go.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a property owned by Baine, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. Baine is an incredible hostattentive, friendly, and always available to answer any questions I had. Its clear that he genuinely cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. He provided thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and dining, which made my visit even more enjoyable. Now, let's talk about the property itself. It is absolutely stunning! Immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, its a perfect blend of comfort and style. The spacious layout allowed for plenty of relaxation, while the amenities provided everything I could possibly need. Whether it was hanging out in the sauna after a long day of work or unwinding in the cozy living room, every moment felt like a retreat. The location is also fantasticconveniently situated near popular attractions, yet tucked away enough to offer peace and tranquility. It truly is an amazing place for anyone in need of a getaway, whether you're traveling solo, with family, or friends. Its been a long time since Ive rented a room in a house but it couldnt be a better experience! B is welcoming and so kind! House and yard are beyond ideal! Clean, quiet and peaceful! Bonus: hes an amazing cook and his dogs could not be more perfect! So grateful for my stay here!

Great for social interaction, easy living

Do you like having food made for you and eating family-style with other people? Do you enjoy Nordic saunas and jacuzzi tubs? How about walking to the Des Moines Marina or over to the Des Moines Creek Trail without having to drive somewhere? Fresh honey? Fireplace? If all those things sound good, then this is a great place to stay. But not yet, because I'm still here, and you can't have until I leave.

Home away feom Home

The best Places any traveler should stay. Been here since Aug 15th and will absolutely stay till my contract ends which is probably till July. Thats more than my original 3 months assignment, and Im glad I am staying here. Its been home away from home. Beautiful home, very nice cozy room. Its in the best location and great neighborhood. Its like going to paradise after work. Just chill in the beautiful backyard and all the stress is gone. Oh and theres Jasper , the most amazing pup who everyone will fall inlove with. Bonus part is, B cooking skills are on par of those Michellin star chefs! If you are a first time traveler like me or a seasoned one, youve got to check out this place. Without a doubt, you will love your stay here.

I am a homeowner who was on a temporary 2 month assignment in the area. I havent rented a room for an extended stay for a very long time so I was a little nervous, but I couldnt more happy with the outcome. The house is modern, clean, very comfortable, and centrally located. The space absolutely does not feel like a rental. Rather, it feels like a home. Housekeeping intervals were timely and appropriate; lots of shared spaces; modern appliances; and plenty of room. The comfort of the home was only rivaled by the host who goes out of his way to ensure everyones comfort. During my stay the host always demonstrated a positive attitude towards his obligations and was a model of reliability and professionalism. I feel super lucky to have found this room at this location and I would recommend it without reservation.

My stay at Normandy Park

This property was spectacular! The house host was the most friendly and the most accommodating person I have ever had the privilege of staying with! The house was clean the patio was relaxing! I had access to all his nice updated and modern amenities as well! The house host created a very "Mi Case es su Casa" environment and had a lot of great recommendations for food and fun in the Des Moines are and entire Pacific Northwest! You should definetely stay here if you are considering it! CLEAN! FRIENDLY! SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD! ACCOMODATING! A LOT OF SPACE! BIG KITCHEN & BATHROOM! Also, if you plan on traveling into Seattle there is a very convenient Light Rail 5 minutes away. I worked in Seattle and took the light rail everyday it was very easy and fun to explore the state! Also, he lives right by the lake and a beautiful view of Ranier Mt. the trail in the neighborhood is incredibly scenic, relaxing and overall tantalizing! BEST STAY EVER!! 1000/1000 RECOMMEND! & I would stay again:)
